vvvslaxman
Their sheer inability to read him off the pitch or from the air makes a strong case for his inclusion. If they really want to see off Ashwin they can do much more easily than they can see of Kuldeep. But if the pitches are drier they could have both. Link to comment

We had KLR playing first class for so long while rahane occupied no.4 spot in LoI. 2. Same rahane was removed from test cricket because Rohit was given his spot at no.4 in the test squad 3. Another superb player pant is not allowed to play for Raina because we are insecured that even as a specialist batsman, pant's very presence in the LoI squad will put pressure on our aging keeper MSD. So basically we are morons and we will play Ravi jadeja inspite of Kuldeep Yadav who is fast becoming the SRT of Chinaman bowling. Heck even they are not allowing KKD ahead rains who is in the team. Coz if he perform like he did in Nidhas final grey bird ll be exposed. Temujin Khaghan 1 Link to comment
Oldhere
Dont know if Kuldeep will play or not in tests but what last t20 and odi performances gets you is Rohit Sharma in playing 11 for tests nevada and raki05 2 Link to comment
gattaca
If the pitches are dry play both. We Don’t 4 seamers anyway if they are dry. Edited July 13, 2018 by gattaca Link to comment
Gollum
I think by the end of the ODI leg they started reading Kuldeep well. Now the real challenge starts for him when batsmen know what to expect and won't get bamboozled. Mendis had a brilliant start to his career but he couldn't improve once batsmen had him figured. Rashid is unplayable in T20s but he may not enjoy the same success even against Ranji batsmen with the red ball. Kuldeep has a higher ceiling than both but to proclaim him as a Messiah at such an early stage is not necessarily going to help our fortunes. Link to comment
Gollum
BTW was it a strategic blunder on our part to play him in the shorter formats? Who cares about T20s or ODIs when there is a 5 test series on the line? May be he should have directly started his tour in the Edgbaston test ahead of Ashwin. Link to comment
Tattieboy
The picking of Kuldeep for the Lord's test is probably one of the worst selections I have seen in all my years of playing and watching cricket. Made a lot worse by the fact he wasn't picked on the first morning but on the second morning after a whole days rain with rain and cloud forecast for the rest of the test. Unbelievable that Kohli and Shastri have not been held to account for this in a huge way !! Gollum 1 Link to comment

LOIs are fine. He needs more FC cricket under his belt. Switchblade 1 Link to comment
Vk1
Our batting is so brittle atm, it is unlikely to see Kuldeep bowling on 4th and 5th day pitches in England. Yasir shah succeeded only while bowling on the last days of the test. Link to comment
