Test bowling is when one gets wickets by being consistent with certain lines and lengths and uses variations as deliveries to create doubt, doing all this when batsmen are looking only to defend most of your deliveries. 

 

ODI bowling is taking wickets when batsmen are trying to score runs off your bowling, restricting them as well, at times this could even mean not attacking the stumps. 

 

There is a degree of difference on what is needed for tests and ODI. but kuldep does look good, might be good to try in a few tests to see how he goes.

rashid khan has no experience playing first class cricket.kuldeep has shown he can outshine ashwin already,lets hope they dont bring him in once we are already down.

He outbowled hernia wrecked Ashwin in 1 innings in Dharamsala. In the 2nd innings of the same match Ash outbowled him and was also better in the Lanka test they played together....Kuldeep's FC stats aren't as good as his list A numbers. More importantly he isn't great with the bat and lower order runs will be vital in the tests.

Even if there are few left handers in the England team i dont think Ashwin making a mark in the test series..A red hot Kuldeep Yadav is the need of the hour,The English test team posseses whole set of new batsmen,so I can anticipate them dancing tonthe tunes of the Chinaman

Have you noticed that his bowling speeds has improved and also the zip?? This was the major issue before...no wonder his Fc stats are not that great

But we (shastri+kohli) don't have any common sense.

 

1. We had KLR playing first class for so long while rahane occupied no.4 spot in LoI.

2. Same rahane was removed from test cricket because Rohit was given his spot at no.4 in the test squad

3. Another superb player pant is not allowed to play for Raina because we are insecured that even as a specialist batsman, pant's very presence in the LoI squad will put pressure on our aging keeper MSD.

 

So basically we are morons and we will play Ravi jadeja inspite of Kuldeep Yadav who is fast becoming the SRT of Chinaman bowling.

i think we need to pick the bowlers for tests based solely on form, i would certainly pick umesh,ishant and kuldeep ,yes ishant i detest that guy but he looked in superb rythm against afghans, i ll definitely like to see him play first 2 tests

In tests Ashwin was leading wicket taker in both the series against Lanka in the 2nd half of last year and outbowled Maharaj in SA. But yeah he has done nothing lately, there is a limit to how much someone can be biased but you seem to be an exception.
