This guy Pant is a phenomenon. He is inevitable both in Tests and T20s, much like Kohli, Smith, Ponting, Gilchrist etc.

 

By potential alone, never mind current form, he should start against England.

Based on current form, Pant looks like a much safer bet than Karun Nair as reserve batsman.

Pant can be played just a batsman if required. But Kohli doesn't like his age, he would rather have Gambhir.

Kohli is not a perfectionist. The likes of Waugh, Taylor, McGrath were perfectionists looking for a side which would enable domination.

Kohli is everything that is bad in my mind at this point.he is  actually doing the exact opposite a sound person would do,he will go down as most hated Indian captain,that is inevitable.

they knw these conditions better + we are under the pressure of scoreboard + a lot of them wud be just taking it as practice

first day was good for batting. Second day our bowlers picked 8/113 and had them 5 down for 190 in second.  Our batsmen have for sure struggled more.

That will be the problem in test series too, our batting will make their bowlers far better than they actually are in reality. Giving wickets to Dom Bess is criminal.

Sam Curran is not that great bowler.
