Siraj should be on the next flight to England to replace shardul thakur in the squad. If Bumrah is still unfit and Umesh continues to be inconsistent, he should play the 3rd test.

Don't think Umesh will be that inconsistent . Im more concerned about Shami who looks very flat and looks like he might break down any moment. Siraj should replace him in my opinion.

siraj needs to be sent to England now,we need to use players in form,shardul there on bench instead of him is one of the most major fk ups of selection in last few years and there have been countless and its getting maddening.

Saini has given just 13 runs in 15 overs. Economy rate says .86 though he dint get a wkt but bowled accurately.

This idea of this selection to first give debut to new players in T20s one of the stupidest i have seen.  what it will do is let them concentrate on T20s rather than ODIs or tests because T20 is the first entrance ad if you do well in T20, you get promoted to other forms.  That is just ridiculous stuff.  i want Kiran More back as the selection committee chairman.

Why can’t they keep different bowlers for different formats? Umesh and Shami along with Ravi Ashwin and Jadeja are more or less restricted to Test matches now.Why can’t they do the same with Siraj?

Playing the same items in all 3 format will break them down

Siraj is a poor T20 bowler (  because his variations are not dependable and his slower ball is horrible as of today ).

 

But, he has performed tremendously in List A  (   FC level 50-over games ).

 

This year in domestic List A, Siraj has picked up a stupendous 23 wickets from only 7 matches at an ER of only 5.x and an average of 15.x.

 

IMHO, he can play both tests and ODIs but not T20Is.

 

We need an upfront wicket-taker in ODIs too.

Whole of India is banging up its head (regarding player selection for wrong format) but clueless jokers cant think beyond t20s..they think best way to judge a youngster is to throw them in the cruel t20s
