As for Shami goes, as long as he takes wickets don't think many will have problem with him playing.

Age fudging has been common in cricket.  i know someone from my club who i bowled to a lot in the nets in 2010, played U19 cricket for J&K in 2014-15, probably was 3-4 years overage and then went on to play 4 Ranji games in 2015 for J&K.  he is 22 according to cricinfo now but is actually at least 26.

agree but he had lost steam by second spell even on day 1.

But I saw no difference in his runup from south Africa, I still feel he can bowl quicker if he get back to his original runup,  rkt what are your viwes on it?? Knee issues may be?

Everyone knew shami is in his thirties.

Officially he is 27-28.

As for his wife's revelations now...was he not overage when they were together?

Why did this deceit not bother her then?

Besides , he married her because he was closer to her age and not what is official. :p:

He should be fit and taking wkts .If not, doesn't matter if he is 27 or 36.

No way he is 36.

Most of the pacers struggle to hit avg 140 kph after age of 34. Indian pacers are more prone to it.

Zak was hardly touching 130 when he was 33-35 and he was probably fitter than Shami.

Nehra and other bowlers had similar stories.

Only Srinath managed to keep pace after age of 32 and even he played till age of 34.

Won't be surprised if Shami is actually 31 or 32 max.

Its not related to religion, many do that for prolonged government job.

Shami must be wondering whether to be embarrased about age or marks...:p:
Lmaoo he's **** in studies but I get that.
At least he's moderately good in what he's supposed to do.
Now I want to see Virat's and Dhoni's board results.

We can if he stay fit, not saying he is 36 but more like 30-32 defo not 28.

If the certificates are true...then that is his real age.

If they are not....then only we can guess 30-36 ke beech hai....

Oh wow!
He must be really good in studies to balance cricket and score 60% in 12th boards.
I did nothing yet I struggled to pass my pee boards.

no. his original runup was bad and he was low in pace with that runup.  his pace only increased once he changed his original runup in in 2016 after his knee injury.

Nehar even at the age of 38 bowled 140.  Regarding others that is because Zak played close to 100 tests, so, slowing down is obvious.  Slowing is not just because of age but certain wear and tear over the years that body goes through.  Shami has barely played anything in comparison to Zak or Nehra. Shami is probably 34 as his marksheet says.  did you check his bowling on day one after first spell. he was running in like a horse with legs tied.  he was so stiff.  Yadav is 31 and in comparison Yadav never show such effects.

He is def not 36 year old I can say that with utmost surety, as a cricket fan I have closely followed fast bowling and fast bowlers over the years, especially genuine fast bowlers and I have seen even the fittest of the fitter bowler like Brett Lee struggling n loosing his steam at 36yr of age in a t20 match, No 36yr old pacer can show intensity in a test match which he showed in 1st test match.

Might be well over 28 but the document she put on display are not credible source of proof, many in India provide false age in rtos to get driving license before 18,election cards are never considered a proof..

10th marksheet is considered an age proof in India which says 34.

But Shami only showed intensity in first spell on day one.
