Is time running out for KL Rahul fast?

Austin 3:!6

It really is. He's had a secure spot in Tests and T20s but after the T20 100s vs Eng, has had one good knock, the 100 in last test vs England in his last 20-21 innings across formats. Any one else in his place would have been permanently banished from the side.

Throwing away starts has become a terribly bad habbit with him. With Kohli coming back in the T20 side vs Aus, doubt if he will even retain his spot. He does look mentally lost and I wonder if instead of playing ODIs and T20s vs WI, he would have been better playefor Karnataka in Ranji trophy. He needs runs under his belt and those are not coming in international cricket.

Australia series will be his litmus test . No first tour excuse ,no easy escape ( are kohli bhi to flop hua  tha kohli has scored 692  runs with four centuries in his second tour in Australia)

Matlab kohli jaisey hi sab khelengey then they will be considered for selection. What about Rahane/Pujara/Dhwan avg in aus. How many runs they scored there.

To isemy Kohli pehley kaha se aa gaya. No one talk about Kohli in this thread and no one said Rahul is better than Kohli.

Bhai Please check past threads . You and many claimed  that he is better and Kohli is jealous to him  .that time you were unaware that he will be sucking  a big time in sa/ eng .  :phehe:Now you get reality check ( to ab modest ban rahe ho)  i’m not his hater and he should be selected ahead of Rayudu/Pandey/Dhoni  but he is not in the league  of kohli and never will be . Hazlewood will exploit his incoming weakness .

What everyone said is he has potential to surpass Kohli. Try to understand comprehension and yes the way he has been handled initially in test and now in ODI it was definitely wrong from Kohli and Management , yes he has glaring weakness with incoming delivery and he needs to sort out to survive in test cricket. But potential is always there if he doesn't put effort like Kohli did after his failure during england series he can't retain his place in test as talent alone will not do the justice.
