does majority knw that with shaw being unfit their is no other option apart from parthiv

In the hypothetical scenario of Shaw being available, the majority wants a change

Play another pacer in place of ashwin. Otherwise persist with ashwin (lefties in aus line up) if you need a spinner.

Take a page out of Don Bradman's winning strategy (once upon a time), where he inverted the batting order, himself came in as #7 or #8 batsman and won the test.

So we should open with Bumrah + Shami. Ishant 1 down, etc etc.

I have faith in the staff to do this if Shaw is not fit.

After having lived in the west for nearly 30 years, i can say, ladies and gentlemen, this is the 'permanently $hit-faced/drunk' look of  50-something experienced drunkards.

Of course. I am born in the West, it's obvious regarding Shastri.

Vijay only.

Why would you play Vijay.  His recent series averages are: SA - 17, ENGLAND - 6.50,AUS so far - 14.50

What has he done to justify a selection. When was the last time he averaged like a good specialist batsman. Year back?

You misunderstood. I meant I will only drop Vijay and no one else.

leave aside this perth  test. This one is one of the fastest & bounciest. Have a small doubt.... why can't we open with Pujara?? Any way it's almost a certainty that the first wkt would be fallen with in 5 overs... that being the case why can't open with Pujara???

Even Kohli is in early so should we open with Kohli too? I guess, since our batting revolves around Pujara and Kohli, they do not want to disturb their settled position

Therefore, I had voted for Rahane, who is an opener and not much useful in the 11 recently, and Shaw

Sorry... you are wrong ....Pujara comes immediately after the openers in the order  & on lots of occasions, especially off late ,virtually does the same duty as that of an opener.  But with Rahane, that is not the case .... he is a middle order batsman who is not eqvipped to handling new ball . So for Rahane, either he perform or perish...that's all.
