West Indies Vs England | 1st Test | Bridgetown | Jan 23-27, 2019 | Match Thread

West Indies middle order demonstrated their mental ineptitude, gave away soft wickets, and the lower order paid the price.  A 425 by WI would have meant a very different test match.  Now we all know how this one will play out.

WI need to find a way to reach 350 somehow..this was shaping up to be a very good game... 350 will challenge Eng if Gabriel can rough up some of the top order..shock and awe type

If West Indies can dig deep and bat like a test team, then England may regret going into a test with just 2 specialist bowlers.  I'm sick of this batdeep bullshit.  It needs to get punished.

when they tour Ind next, they will be punished if they pull off that crap but Anderson will retire before tour, so it would be oh we lost experience this is an inexperienced side etc.

By yesterday evening, Pitch has become pacier. 81/106 balls from Heytmyer actually hides that fact. Its not going to be easy for England, if windies field well

Score Card shows, Jimmy bowled 30 overs and Stokes bowled 25 overs. If Windies would have batted sensibly like they did in first 2 sessions yesterday, They may have forced a injury by overbowling Andoo and Skoksy. All is not lost. There is second inning to do that. They can still make England pay for selecting Rashid over pacer

Now  start England main batting

Yup. Gonna have to rely on tail as usual. But huge pressure now. WI in with a great chance of taking a nice healthy lead
