Check out yuvraj..He actually started assault and we all know due to this fake inning they got selected for ct17 only to screw us in final.

i blame captain/coach/TM whoever is responsible for picking him and not uv :((

good commander will avoid unnecessary war :p:

dhoni is the master of percentage cricket

For these people, intent means aggressive innings. But doing the simple things like working the singles and keeping the scoreboard ticking over is also intent. Its a good reason these people are never allowed to play cricket. :phehe:

thanks Velu, this is what I've been saying so far. Why promote yourself up the order against Wahab Riaz and Mitch Johnson when Suraj Randiv and Thissara Pererra await you some day.

yeah .. afraid of riaz  :phehe:

When you have had 300 ODIs at no. 5-6 there will be at least 5-6 innings where you have done well when top order has collapsed.

Though not surprised most of them are against SL, Zim and WI.

not sure which stat you referred ..

total 8 innings listed in that post ..  one each vs sa , eng , aus and pak :phehe:

Aus (Ishant-Faulkner) and Pak matches lost :((

Against England it was more like Dhoni was in trouble and Yuvraj bailed him out.

you dont anything about building partnership ..

as i said earlier .. both batsmen cant go full retard when recovering from a batting collapse

Very good list and most of the innings were truly great but op has a point that he hasn't performed well in crunch situations in big games especially ICC tournaments .

The list that OP provided is a good one .

I would like to add a couple from the top of my mind :

ind vs windies, choked against Australia in a must win game as well 2006 Malaysia odi

ind vs England decider 2007

India vs Australia guwahati 2009

India vs srl 2010 bang tri series final

India vs srl tries series srl 2010

Pick any batsman who played more than 200 ODIs as a middle order batsman. He would have played 7-8 ‘last man standing knocks’.

Forget specialist batsmen, without looking at the scorecards, can safely say Kapil played equal if not more such knocks coming in at less than 100/5 and taking the team to 210-220.

coming up with individual innings  to prove your point

averaging 65 vs them in tests and 55 vs them in ODIs :finger:

I can see why you are so keen to create that tangent out of nothing. MSD rep on here taken such a beating today, clutching at straws now. Lol... at your bakwaas averages. What's Mahi's average against Pakistan in World Cup semi final 2011, ICC CT Final 2017, WT20 Final 2007? So spare me your Rhoohafza cup averages when you can't quote me some clutch performances in important games.
