Straight Drive
Just now, Audiophile said: Actually if they play like this they might get to 160 odd if they can stick around. None has the technique or to bash around when the ball is moving! There is no need to smack. Just place the ball between he fielders or straight down the wicket. Few could not get bat on the ball to get bowled (Sharma and Dhoni) and when the others actually ended getting the bat on ball, they ended up giving dolly catches to fielders due to lack of ability to place the ball away from fielder when they hit it in air (Gill and Dhawan). bahubali
10 minutes ago, Cricketics said: It was a good delivery nevertheless, that was my point. Rohit played that shot the way he did and the way most openers do. Most players get out to such deliveries. That was a peach, as the movement was very late and may be hint of seam also. Matt Henry does tend to move the ball late and he just did that. That's just an assumption if your foot movement is wrong you can't generalized the criteria for others it was a good delivery but still Rohit could have negotiated by planting his foot forward he was left naked standing at his place and Henry just exploited it. Just saw dhoni dismissal he took forever to bring his bat down. Link to comment

They have a lot more credentials in tough conditions than our top order. We play with LOI experts. These 2 are world class batters. sandeep
23 minutes ago, Cricketics said: Looking at the dismissals, Dhawan and Gill are the only ones who threw away their wicket. Both Dhoni and Rohit got top deliveries which could have taken any batsman’s wicket. Dhoni looked like he was late on the ball. Not sure how quick that delivery was, but Game 3 he was consistently late to the ball against anything quicker than 130. Missed a few boundary balls when he was given half-volley type wide ones, because they just whizzed by him. bahubali and Cricketics 2 Link to comment
Jimmy Cliff
Gill looked really good before he got out . Absolutely creamed a few straight to the fielder. Now Rayudu getting leg stump filth . bahubali 1 Link to comment

But of course phuck the facts, carry on with the chest-beating and whining and ranting at the "team think tank". whatever floats your boat. Link to comment
Straight Drive
Rayudu 4 from 25 and Shankar 14 from 30. No singles by Rayudu 10 singles for Shankar from 29 balls excluding the 4. 1 single from 3 balls played is not good either . But Rayudu is making that look better.
