Shift IPL from India

This whole thing is going to die down in few weeks before Aus tour is over. Don't worry.

Anyway, England came after 26/11 attack amidst tight security. IPL security anyway will be tight.

If anything Pakistanis should be worried right now that foreign players might not want to tour Pakistan now again for their PSL finals after recent attacks.

The best way to respond to terrorist threats is to continue to live a normal life, which includes entertainment from Ipl. Otherwise terrorist wins. The terrorist cannot be allowed to insert terror into the minds of people. Yes, there is an element of risk. We can mitigate that with reasonable security measures. Games must go on.

* the IPL, what matters is that it was conducted safely despite a rabid/wounded/immoral enemy next door and internal enemies. Something UPA was unable to deliver in 2009 and 2014.

Thank you Modi sarkar, our lives are safer today under this govt. Aayega toh Modi hi...hope all IPL fans understand how the national security scene has changed for the better.

We take things for granted here in India. But what an amazing transformation in India's security scene. While global cities in western countries are unable to escape terror, we in India have been shielded from this menace for 5 full years. Apart from the warzone and Naxal belt/NE we have never been this safe since the scourge of terror hit our shores.

General election conducted peacefully except in Bengal (thank you Mamata) and IPL held at the same time. Chidambaram and his ilk convinced the nation that IPL can never be held during election season because we aren't equipped to ensure security. Guess who changed that?

Even haters of this govt have no other option but to congratulate their approach towards dealing with terrorism.

Actually with the WC coming up, the BCCI should've hosted the IPL in England, this year. They should've gotten prior permission from the English cricket board to host it there.

The time difference isn't too big, plus there are a lot of Indians there, so you would've had people attend matches as well. For one year , for the sake of preparation, they should've hosted it in England(especially with elections this year).

Don't underestimate England. They are known for their cunning. Eng would demand a lot in "fees". If at all required, SA is a better option. Even better IPL should be conducted right here in India. What would be the support for MI in Johannesburg or London or CSK in Cape Town or Yorkshire. Makes no sense. Don't know why the IPL has to be moved to a different country. We are not a war torn shithole
