South Africans, it could be said, are more likely to figure out the meaning of life before they figure out how to win a Cricket World Cup. After a shambolic start to their World Cup campaign after Faf chose to bat second on a slightly sluggish track , they are up against Bangladesh , a side that definitely prefers slow, turning tracks and one which actually beat South Africa on a slow pitch in the Caribbean in the 2007 edition of the CWC. While SA do start as favourites in this clash , Faf would do well to play to his side's strengths and choose wisely were he to win the toss once again. For Bangladesh, if ever there was a team they could beat among the Top 5 teams, SA would be it.

Hashim Amla also has reportedly skipped net practice. He might be missing today as well. Markram will probably open with DeKock. Van der Dussen will bat higher up the order and Miller will be back in the 11.
