Revolution Posted June 10, 2019 Posted June 10, 2019 Virat didnt play for this hundred. He setup best fielders during bowling in right areas. His bowling tactics were perfect. I feel he is giving his best in all departments. Stop criticizing Kohli. AK007, Vilander and Cricketics 3

This means that top order batters batting at SRs of 105 to 110 will suffice even in such a high scoring game. Edited June 10, 2019 by express bowling

Eng have lots of people here - Hales, Bairstow and Roy - but Gayle has been a real beast. 22 matches - 79 sixes! Most of these guys, barring de Kock, have incredible 100 conversion rates but VK's is really Bradmanesque.
Number Posted June 10, 2019 Posted June 10, 2019 He played sensibly. Rotated strike in the slog overs to give maximum deliveries to Pandya and Dhoni who are better hitters. Why is it hard for some people to accept that Kohli's power hitting game is inferior to all of our top 7 batters. Doesn't make him a bad batsman. Ankit_sharma03, AK007 and The Dark Horse 3
krupaksk Posted June 10, 2019 Posted June 10, 2019 He played well. Showed the side where he can hold one end up, serves well in the long run in the World Cup. I think he is still conscious of our soft middle order to have some trust. The more runs KL, MS and others score with consistency, he will play with lot more freedom. It looked so good that the team is playing with a strong tactic of the top 3 scoring big runs. Not always will work, but the strategy is very clear. I trust him to have a good World Cup. rageaddict Posted June 12, 2019 Posted June 12, 2019 (edited) It was Infact Kohli holding the innings from one end that allowed Pandya, Dhoni and later Rahul to go after the Australian attack. Had Kohli got dismissed cheaply after Dhawan , India would have settled for a much lower score. You cannot expect batsmen at both ends to score at a S/R of 200. This is exactly what lead to Australia's collapse against Pakistan today. Edited June 12, 2019 by rageaddict Ankit_sharma03, manu4411, Cricketics and 3 others 6
Ankit_sharma03 Posted June 12, 2019 Posted June 12, 2019 (edited) I hope Ppl saw todays match and understood thats its important one set batsman bats till end. U cant go bang bang every day. Every situation , pitch , conditions are diff......and u have to play differently. I hve seen this a lot here....if some other team bats till end we call them smart and if Indian does it we call them selfish. Its not a video game that every day everyone will hit six after six Edited June 12, 2019 by Ankit_sharma03 sergio04, Adi BB, philcric and 2 others 5
