On another note, the Eng vs NZ game tells us we were decent in our chase to get past 300 at least. Eng lost their way while batting first too to end with just 305. We should back ourselves. Pace off the ball is the way to go on this ground. Our spinners are no threat to England, it was clear last year itself. Our pacers will have to work on their cutters. AK007, flamy, beetle and 1 other 4

Especially shami. Also I feel shami should share the new ball with Bhuvi, as shami is the only bowler who looks like getting wicket with new ball. One strange thing is why indian bowler couldn't get any reverse swing in any of the matches whereas wahab is getting it in almost every match. Shami would be effective in death if the ball started to get reverse.

Naya Zealand has a good bowling attack. We are better off facing the English bowlers. We just need to get lucky and bat first.
Amit228 Posted July 4, 2019 Posted July 4, 2019 Toss is imperative... Whosoever wins the toss will win 50% match then nd their itself.. the pitch will slow down even further as match progresses on... given our middle order in shambles i won't bet my money on us chasing... Win the toss bat first...England can fluff big time in a slow pitch chasing as evident from theirs lanka encounter.. Kl rahul needs to step up big time... Play Kuldeep instead of chahal.. shami needs to work on his death bowling credentials.. he would have lost us previous match single handedly if not for bumrah.. well on dhoni we just need to hope he bats wearing yellow jursey nd can somehow see unadkats nd dhawals in English bowlers..

Master_better Posted July 4, 2019 Posted July 4, 2019 I would back India to chase anything in 300-320 range against Eng if the pitch is similar to what we got earlier.
