ViruDilSeKhelo Posted July 10, 2019 Posted July 10, 2019 Dhoni ko interim kaptaan/coach banado. If it wasn't for run out we would have won. THAT 6 there was an arrogant swirl of the bat (it twisted), new jeeland were going to suffer. Kopdi Kohli must go for dumbass tactics.

If he had put some bad balls away, we could have won. But no he was busy consuming dot balls and adding pressure on Jadeja. And then hit a useless 6 when the game was out of reach. I think he knows his limittions, he can strike big only when last 2 overs r there. Other matches I accept dhoni performance was bad, in today's context I would like to give the benefit of doubt because if he took risk earlier andgot out we wouldn't have been with a chance in 49. Having said that, he needs to retire along with DK. Jadhav and chahal I would also not play shami and bhuvi in ODIs. Time to blood someone young.saini, shreyas, rajpoot, chahar r should start playing. Gill, mayank, shreyas iyer Shaw should also r inducted asap. t

The Hound Posted July 10, 2019 Posted July 10, 2019 As usual, every top order batsman fails but only one guy gets the blame . The one who brought a scare to NZ camp with that 7th wkt partnership when almost everything was lost. Laaloo 1

Hell Raiser Posted July 10, 2019 Posted July 10, 2019 In 2011 when India were 110 for 3 Dhoni came to crease to tackle the so called threat of Murali ahead of a player like Yuvraj who had a dream run in that worldcup. But today india loses early wickets and this man came to bat at number 7. Whats the fooking use of your experience if you are going to hide behind others when the going gets tough. He was doing what he always does, take it till the last 3 and then launch, Unfortunately jadeja miscued one at the worst time.

Jadeja is the man who made a match of it where as it should have been the other way around and Dhoni should have played Jadeja kind of innings. If not for Jadeja dhoni would have had a 70 ball 30 kind of not out innings and his fans would be claming that their masterbatsman ran out partners otherwise he would have won the match. NZ has three good bowlers. You can’t let go of scoring opportunities and let NRR get extrmely high just because you think you can score 20 off of neeshams over in the 50th over. It never works. That strategy has been failing since 2012 CB series. You can’t put too much pressure on jadeja. The ball before that, Dhoni got a legside freebie and he took a single. That put too much pressure on Jadeja to get boundaries. You can’t win games by blocking one end and putting pressure at the other end. If you can’t see that then I can’t help you. My point is , Why we even got in such a position in the first place chasing a moderate score of 240 ? Why did the top order failed to see off the new ball & got out on deliveries which were easily playable ( except Rohit ) . What about Pant & Pandya playing such loose shots when we were building a good partnership . You may criticize MS for any of his knocks in this WC but today he should be last person to hold responsible after Jadeja.

How are you forgetting this? Dhoni has this fetish of taking everything to the last over in the process of screwing the NRR and adding unnecessary pressure at the other end. We are not asking for Dhoni to come down the track and cowlash. Is it too much to ask for him to put legside balls away so Jadeja doesn’t feel the need to have a hack and get out? Is it too much to ask Dhoni to show a little more intent before the game is over? beetle, diehardpacer and Hell Raiser 3

But just for one moment forget about top order collapse and just think about last 10 overs. Who was trying to win the match? I saw only Jadeja trying to do that as on the other hand we were going through some "process" which only the great thala can explain. Even a bit more of urgency shown by Dhoni and abit more agression we could have been going to London. Jadeja had to go for everything beacuse he didn't quite get the support that was required for that situation as Thala wanted to take it very deep. He deserves the criticism for leaving it too late. I wouldn't have blamed him had he got out trying to play with more intent but this loss is on Dhoni when we could have won the match. Mosher and Laaloo 2
