We've hardly had any glory days but this government is absolutely the worst and in shambles.

Nawaz Sharif's party and his team are the only with some sense.

30 years of Sharifs lead Pakistan to nothing but disaster, corrupt people deserve and follow corrupt leaders.

Shooting for his upcoming movie. And promoting it, meeting the high and mighty of the host nation. That is what film stars normally do.

Think we shoot many movies in Turkey. Don't remember too many other celebs meeting the high and mighty there, at least pics aren't public.

Amir Khan is better than most of the others at promoting his work. His movies have done quite well in China also, where he had excessively promoted them. The optics may help his film sell. It maybe a market he is trying to get into.

Why is any of this a cause for concern?

Shouldn't you be proud that an Indian entertainer is meeting the first lady of a not so insignificant (and to India, not necessarily friendly) nation? It is in many ways, a reflection of the soft power reach of India.

Why should I be proud of it? He can do what he wants to promote his movie but sometimes put the nation first as well. Has he spoken about the Galwan heroes yet? Does his fame in China prevent him from taking a stand for the country? Or his financial interests tied with the Chinese have something to do with it?

SRK often shows up in photos with UAE royalty, that is good because UAE is on friendly terms with us. You can't compare that with photo ops in Erdogan's palace or with Xi, Pak ministers etc.

What is this entire put nation first angle? Why is meeting the first lady of Turkey disrespecting India? If his movies do well, he could be earning foreign exchequer for India. He (or the production house) employs Indians in various capacities for the movies.

If Turkey truly were an enemy nation, we should simply bar our businesses (including movies) from doing any deals there and simply cut people to people contact. The onus of that decision lies with the government. The GoI thinks its okay for Indians to travel to Turkey, to do business there. So why such a strong reaction over him meeting the first lady.

SRK is the brand ambassador for Dubai Tourism. I think that is a *big deal* given that he isn't even an Emiratean or whatever the right adjective is. Ofcourse he would meet with their head of state. SRK also met Prince MBS. Somehow, that didn't get this kind of negative traction on SM.

Right through the 90s, when Dawood was in the UAE, and the UAE government were not willing to extradite him or sign an extradition treaty with us, we played cricket in Sharjah. Mainly versus Pakistan. We watched those games in great numbers in the stadium and on cable TV. Our cricketers met all kinds of rulers/officials of the UAE. No one batted an eyelid.  Business was business for us. Probably one of the reasons we were able to get the UAE to be a  very friendly nation which now has started extraditing terrorists back to India, is our increased business with that nation. Increased trade with Turkey will only make them closer to India.

Some of the most sober and polite folks I personally know have started behaving weirdly recently with stuff like "protecting Sanatana Dharma" and what not. They believed in a fake message from Arbaaz Khan challenging Hindus, compounded with Sushant's demise there is anti Khan wave from disgruntled social media users. Sure Salman Khan may not be the nicest chap (literally ended Arijit Singh's career), but all these allegations of them having anti Hindu agenda is trash talk, an unfortunate product of internet boom.
