Sharma and Dhawan again in T20s. FFS move on from these rubbish players.

Bad picks: Sharma, Dhawan, Pandey, Khaleel, Thakur

Sharma is in form these days anf he isnt a rubbish t20 player by any means.

Agree with other three.

Dhawan is not suited for t20 cricket.

Rohit Sharma is ranked 7th in Icc t20 rankings and is highest among Indian batsmen.

And we have someone questioning his place when he is the captain. Happens only on ICF!!!!

From the squad picked, good 11 would be.

R Sharma

S Dhawan

KL Rahul

S Iyer

M Pandey

R Pant

S Dube

W Sunder

Y Chahal

K Ahmed

D Chahar

Rather have specialist bowlers than all rounders like K Pandya, R Jadeja (in Odi, T20).

On a seperate note why Test Vice Captain A Rahane was not in meeting. Rohit Sharma may have taken over as Vice Captain of Test Team also.

U hve kept dhawan who t20 record is bang avg and dropped krunal who has done well in limited chances specially overseas.

Manish pandey in xi are u serious .....no way is this a good XI.

Why wud rahane be in meeting, rohit was there coz he ll captain this side, kohli is captaining test side

Dube is super average. His bowling is cannon fodder and his batting well don't think he will last against international quality bowlers.

Don't we have a single good big hitting proper batsmen in domestics who can roll his arm?

Make Chahar/Thakur as batsmen and then their utility will increase 10 fold lol.

One step forward and 10 steps back :wall:

Also WT20 in Australia and we are trying an army of spinners Krunal Pandya,Sundar,Chahal,Deepak Chahar

and trundler brigade of Khaleel,Chahar and Thakur

WTF is going on

Out of the players picked in squad they won't have Dhawan as a bench player otherwise no point picking him in squad. I agree, in ideal line up it should be KL and Rohit opening.

Looking ahead to Australia world T20 I feel Krunal is bits and pieces player. On the bouncy wickets he may be susceptible to bouncers. Specialist legspinners are better on the Australian wickets.

Manish Pandey is ahead of S Samson in terms of pecking order. I am not fan M Pandey but he keeps getting picked. S Samson is more suited to top 3. There is no other batsmen in squad. One of Dhawan or M Pandey has to play if you want to get S Samson in team.

The meeting with Ganguly was the roadmap for the future (all formats) so the Test Vice Captain should have been there for input. In no way am I suggesting that Rahane should be in the limited over sides.

We don't even want to pick one single fast bowler now, among the younger brigade, despite creating a world class pace attack by picking good quick bowlers.

Travesty !!

Had to create the thread below.

What was his performance in the last T20 WC or the one before that? His current form, no matter what that is, is not going to work against stronger opponents, as we have seen n number of times.

Thats what ppl thought n he won MOM in australia not only there but in Nz n WI to for his bowling

So as per perception that he ll struggle overseas he has done better overseas

I don’t get it. We may not like Shastri but why is the coach left out of a selection meeting? :hmmmm2:

Doesn’t this prove Shastri is a yes man theory.

Also hope there is nothing personal here and we don’t want a padosi style grudge matche here between dada and Shastri.

Also looks like Dada has personal experience with coach interfering in selection with the whole Chappell saga but in that case Chappell was right even though it wasn’t handled well.

Funny thing is how polar opposite are we to the Pakistanis

We barred the head coach from selection committee meetings while they made their head coach the chief selector

In India,Presidents & coaches are rubber stamps.
