Axar Patel is perfect for no 6 role imo. His batting has come on leaps and plays like a proper batsman as well, looks as more of a batting AR. His bowling is not really wicket taking but can get good overs in. Much better option than Shankar, Krunal,Dubey etc.

Him , Hardik, Jadeja should be our limited over all rounders.

He can be a true Hardik Pandya backup now as the big hitting No.7 batter and 5th bowler.

long way to go for that...Axar will struggle against 140+K bowlers. Btw, Pandya too needs work on his batting....for some reason, our players don't seem to develop through their careers as much as other teams - we need a Symonds, Klusener type player, consistently explosive with bat and reliable with ball.

Axar smashed a half century vs SA A  bowlers including Nortje and Junior Dala. Another 80 vs West Indies A away, so he is capable of scoring against quality pace as well. He surely can be looked at
