You gotta understand - they don't have Indian money coming in for a decade - babus still kept stealing, but they let the grounds and facilities go to absolute sheiit since no matches were being held. Frustrated Posted December 14, 2019 Share Posted December 14, 2019 I thought PCB would have made nice infra/facilities , as Intl cricket has returned to Pak after almost a decade. However, it's the other way round. PCB has made following blunders: 1) Poor selection of the venue It's snowfall season. Which cricket board in the world, at this time of the year, would schedule test at a venue close to the Himalayas , and that too without floodlights ?. 2) Pathetic Ground Facilities I watched the highlights of Day 1. The entire ground looks like brownish barren land. Coupled with extremely poor drainage facility. Overall, bad publicity for not only Pak cricket but also test cricket overall. Lack of revenue should not be an excuse for the PCB, coz all they needed to do was to maintain a couple of stadiums worthy of hosting test matches. In a country where cricket is the dominant sport, it is not really that tough. All this hints at the massive corruption/mismanagement in PCB from top to bottom. Link to comment

They dont realise players these days are used to playing in top notch stadiums and cities... not some 50's relic like Rawalpindi with crummy facilities and hotels.
