The American millennial is very different from an American Boomer. The boomers were indeed the most hard-working and energetic/optimistic generation powering America to superpower status but they had also indulged heavily in the capitalistic enivronment. The millennial generation is far more cynical, lives in apartments instead of the traditional picketed fence houses of suburbs, hates religion to core and worships socialism.

That's a good question but how many NRIs in the US have earned that much but are unable to return back. Usually they blame their kids and wife but the reality is that they like it there not here in India. They are set in their ways little bit and are unable to cope up with the changing India.

That is true but I believe the real reason why millennials in America are struggling is because they have inherited an economy heavily exploited by boomers. The boomers were very idealistic, extremely hard working and had bizarre optimism, they literally believed that God made America powerful because they were the most noble and devout christians, also they witnessed the fall of Soviet Union amplifying their egos further. As a result America became a place where spending/consumerism and compulsive risk taking became a norm, while savings had lower priority. Millennials of my age whom I have met are far more risk averse and have that typical savings mindset like us Indians, there is a reason why Apple Inc. is not doing a good business, who wants to buy an expensive iPhone 11?
