He did well in ODIs. I rate him as the best ODI opener  .... It is in tests where I think he could have done better

His record in big matches in the biggest stage sets him apart from the rest of his contemporaries. Kohli may have a better average and a better chaser, but he has gone well past the half of his career and has zilch to show yet.

They are all good in their own way. Kohli has an opportunity to make up. In T20s, he has shown fire in 2014 (UV hogged strike) and 2016 (Aus)

 

Dhoni is good too with batting in the MO (relatively a tough place to bat in ODIs) + Keeping + Captaincy

No they are not. KOHLI has done zilch in international tournaments. It ain’t going to be better considering he does not have any backfoot game, can’t dominate spin and lunges at the ball outside the off stump. But hats to him to score all these runs with all these glaring technical deficiencies.

My topics are not usually player focused (they can be on players too at times but it will be mentioned on the thread). The topics can be like  “best spinners in or vs” for e.g. .... as a part of discussion, many folks can praise certain bowlers for their performances and/or point out those who have fallen short relatively.
