Why England and Australia don't take other teams seriously apart from each other in shorter format

Three days ago England's C team lost to Pakistan and drew the series. Australia regularly show this to India , Pakistan and others by playing B or C grade teams in T20s or sometime ODI's. But for each other They are playing full strength teams. This is ridiculous.

Not talking about winning or losing. These Countries always put their B or C teams against almost any country. But when They are playing each other They have almost full strength team.

India play very few T20 bilaterals against Australia and last I checked, Aussies toured with their full strength squad to India for 3 match ODI series and lost 1-2.

I don’t know why OP thinks Aus and Eng don’t play their full strength squads against India. The series in Jan against was with their full strength squad.

 

England too have played with their best squad against India when we toured in 2018.

I want to make correction for the OP. Apart from Pakistan, who play their first XI even against Papua New Guinea, all other nations use intl T20s to rest players & blood in youngsters.

England were having test cricket going on and players who played in that format got proper rest to play for series against Australia.

In useless bilaterals they don't field their best units against each other either. Just that after 6 months of no cricket, maybe their top guns were raring to have a go, to get in the groove for other assignments later this year.

India is close, if you add ODIs we are very much in the same boat

That was Their preparation of World cup. 2013 They pulled Mitchell Johnson in 7th march when series was 3-3 just for practice for Ashes which was 2 months away. Clearly show How much importance They give to bilaterals.

Eng/Aug and all other teams play their top squad against India at all times as all their players want to get identified by Indian public, this is true in case of pakistan as most teams dont mind playing their c side ( as even that side could win and do the job , besides for safety reasons most top players stay away).
