People will be going faster as the effect of no cricket starts wearing off. Expect the 150 barrier to be broken soon.

It has been broken already by jofra or you meant indian bowler?

Shami's bounce has something to do with his action and wrist usage too.

Umesh is strong too but does not get much bounce due to his round arm action.

Kamlesh will not get bounce off length  by the looks of it. For him best to concentrate on Back of length pacy balls without width & odd bouncer  and towards death overs straight & Wide  yorkers . If he can develop in coming ball from good length that would be good . May do not try for too many things as a third seamer.

kracker jacker of an over! Saini's super hit with all commentators. A good day for Indian quicks in terms of pace.

what did harsha bunglee say ? saini has bit of pace ? or he is a very good medium pacer etc for the small Indian frame of his etc ?

Rayudu has just one shot against that sort of pace from Saini....dance down the track and just swing hard.

From the last 2 years all of us see this and we know only shot he has against pace is running down the track and hitting it over the covers/ Extra covers . But listen to even top notch  former greats like VVS & others singing praise of this Biryani. I just cannot fathom how they cannot see this severe  shortcoming vs pace by him.

This is what I had suggested earlier too.

Must try to bowl back of a length at high pace and hit the deck hard ... Otherwise, he will keep hitting the sweet spot of the bat and keep going for runs.

And the odd bouncer is a must.

Haven't seen a single bouncer from him after return.

Still i am happy.  we need to consider change in action , injury ,  Will not have much control.  That will come .

In pitches with lower bounce and him at peak pace with control , he will be very good if dew is not a big factor.

For a person who is so chirpy, Harsha is strangely silent when an Indian bowls really quick

Gavaskar, on the other hand, is strongly promoting the pace of Saini, and other Indian quicks like Bumrah and Shami, this year. Great to see.

From so far what we have seen , we can count on Prasidh, Saini , Mavi , Koti  & Tyagi as pace prospects . Not a bad bunch at all !.

This week has been very satisfying due the efforts of the young turks .

Am not worried much about batting prospects for India.

Maybe some of them can be given a go in the innumerable useless T20 and ODI s we keep playing. Too many years of struggle in domestic cricket in pitches like Rajkot (where Unadkat shines brightest) can really take it out of you. It is depressing to see what has happened to Avesh Khan, though I hope he comes back strongly.

And not just them, someone like Aaron must be given a chance in these useless T20's. The guy has pace. Some respect must be given. He deserves that.

True. Needs to concentrate on a good line and length without being too experimental. He just needs to get the hang of it. But I also feel too many yorkers will just make him predictable. If he can just hit the right length at pace on the off stump channel, that should do him a lot of good.

Tyagi seems to be rhe moat promising prospect to me. Has age on his side, height, a really smooth injury free action. His pace will only improve with that smooth action and run up
