I haven't seen the movie yet but the praise seems genuine.  Even nationalists (not Indian Raita Wing) is calling it good use of the medium and learning the art of subtle messaging from the Left.

Blatant overdriven use like in Kerala Files /KF is discarded in general and left wins and it is called propaganda and no one has a counter.

Will check this in the weekend.

Not just in movies, in all departments of histrionics, the narrative needs to be learned from the left. The sanyasi revolt of 1792 was written by Vankim Chattopadhya as Anand Math. It is recorded as Fakir revolt in our history books taught in schools. It was changed by S Irfan Habib and Romilla Thapar. The non-left need to learn a lot from the leftll

Kerala Files was a bad movie, OTT propaganda, unsubtle, and becomes a joke.

Kashmir Files better, at least stayed true to the horrors that happened to KPs.

Comparatively The Diplomat was a better quality movie on the same subject. Kerala Files got more publicity because of the resistance to accept that Love Jihad is a fact in Kerala. Even Kerala Churches  acknowledges love jihad. KF should have been directed well by a good director

Propaganda was blatant, and exaggerated numbers that even the film makers had to backtrack.

Once they fudged the number...it was game over.  They had to show disclaimer in their remaining shows about it after Supreme court orders.

It was honestly poor filmmaking 101.  But they earned good and got all the publicity even if the message got lost somewhere.

Loved The diplomat.  Praised it even in this thread

One of the most underrated movies last 2-3 years.

Finished watching Shakthi Tirumagan.  Political thriller. There are some parallels you can find with current politics. I watch movie as a movie. Don't care about political undertones. I quiet enjoyed it. Very well made. Vijay Antony doesn't go overboard.

Reg Love Jihad. The reality is much more darker and it is certainly not some large scale conspiracy

The defination of Love Jihad is based on hiding your identity/religion and trapping a girl of other faith.

However if a Girl knows the guy's religion and still goes for it, then it is no-one's fault and it is not Love Jihad anymore.

Kerala Files was not Love Jihad , but how Hindu and Christian girls are trapped by Muslim foot soldiers acting as friends and to preach how Islam is superior and groom girls . Grooming girls as ISIS brides is a global issue and India is no exception. It could be that the film exaggerated numbers , should have shown as a story like The Diplomat

Left hides behind artistic freedom, you are blind to their propaganda in showing certain religious chakras as good or bd as stereotypes.

Non sequitor, as usual did not reply to the actual point. But but but left doesn't work here

Was talking about those 2 movies.

Kerala Story was blatant propaganda. ISIS brides was a real thing, but actual number is 20 odd in that state, not 30,000. Imagine exaggerating the numbers to such an extent that even makers had to backtrack by giving a disclaimer at the start of the film, calling it fictional work. Also it portrays entire Kerala and its people poorly, I couldn't even finish half the movie, if this is the gateway to an average North/West/East Indian about the state of Kerala, I can only pity them.

Kashmir Files was much much better, because most of those incidents actually happened. Forcing that lady to eat the rice soaked in her husband's blood is actual history, covered in author Rahul Pandita's must read book, 'Our Moon has Blood Clots'. And I know that Rahul isn't a propagandist, otherwise he wouldn't have written 'Hello Bastar'. Bitta Karate is an actual mass murderer who killed his own Hindu friends for sport, there were some professors in JNU who did brainwash students about the KP cleansing, and other **** which is topic for another thread. Kashmir Files is actually true to real historical events, unlike Kerala Story. It could have been much much better, but Agnihotri is not good at his craft.

Kerala story had to have that exaggeration for the shock affect and awaken the sleeping Hindus .. most parents made their children watch it and it goes some way in highlighting the dangers of conversion.

Bhai, that much exaggeration (kahaan 20, kahaan 30,000) is a turn off for many. It trivializes the issue, people start treating the subject like a joke or meme. And overlook even the genuine grievances/threats/evil.

Trust me, ISIS terrorists are the worst kinds of creatures imaginable, all of whom should be blown to pieces without mercy. And regarding those who joined from India, the women who went as brides, the brainwashers, I feel a movie on this subject deserved a serious and truthful approach, that would have made it 10 times more effective.

Sure... I understand the turn off for adults.

PS: Do you think US or USSR did not have such propoganda films for shock & awe highlighting socialism & capitalism ?

I did respond in other posts on the propaganda of numbers and did say the makers should shave kept the story to one case just like The diplomat.

As far as  characters if kerala being stereotypically biased,  that is the artistic freedom of the film makers that is blatantly done by the left. In the Dhadak 2 movie , I notice that all Savana chars are casteist and has no remorse. Minority chars are humanistic and sympathetic to Dalits. Left does it through artistic freedom and it is not called propaganda then. Biased portrayal is not the propaganda in KS , butt claiming the numbers as factual.

Fact is not all non/muslim girls are sent as ISIS brides. But there is a concerted effort to groom girls for marriage and it is funded and compensated by Islamist orgs like PFI or from Gelf money. There was an infamous case where a father went to SC fighting for his daughter who married a Muslim and lost the case.

Hadiya marriages was restored by Sc
