Ponting needs to have some tough talk with him, score only 15 runs but do so at 120 SR min. Just throw you bat around FGS. Till Pant comes in we have no other option it seems.

Rahane needs another chance at T20s.  Liberate him from the vice captaincy and he may become a free scoring batsman...

I think he is ok at no.3. Against teams like RR, Punjab, SRH, Delhi's bowling will bail them. Once the business end starts, he won't be part of the XI.
