The last time they met was on Oct 8 , when KXIP was languishing at the bottom losing to a team like CSK by 10 wickets SRH pummeled further in the same venue when KXIP didn’t purchase a wicket for 35 overs continuing from the CSK game, scored 200, the last team to score a 200 in this IPL. Such has been the state of same old used pitches, scoring has been tough. Now, KXIP has back-to-back won 3 matches against table toppers RCB, MI and DC , all chasing 160-170 scores. They are a team in resurgence. SRH down in the dumps, are pumped up with a superb win against RR, where Pandey scored a 40-ball 80 that Kar will be proud of. As usual. KXIP matches are a juicy affair with Pooran, Gayle, KL and Mayank in great form hitting it out of the park, 2 young tyros spinning the web and Shami blazing in. I think they will back Neesham over Jordan. SRH has relatively lesser firepower, finding their feet with a big conundrum- Holder or Williamson? If their MO clicks like last time, Holder gives a stodgy option for bowling , otherwise it has trundlers only. But, in these worn-out pitches, it is anybody’s game. Not that I dislike SRH (even though boring team zzzzz) but someone needs to whack these thieving Bambis and arrogant Kohli in playoffs.
