Indian team to wear retro jersey for upcoming series?

I hope 1992 jersey does not bring 1992 like results ..0-3 in Test series and no.7 out of 9 countries in WC 1992

Some of them were not great but atleast we experimented with the colors and some were really good.

These are the retro jerseys we should've gone with. Though the sponsors logos would've still ruined them.

Honestly we gotta accept the sponsor thing with the age we are living in. Indian team is the most sought after team by the sponsors and wont be far away before players look like formula 1 racers or the previous Delhi Daredevils team. 

 

Only thing we can hope is for it to atleast look somewhat aesthetic

its not just the sponsor thing.. every other team also wears huge sponsor name on the front. Hell most other teams don't even have their country name, just sponsor name.

 

But they look cool and stylish and sponsor name blends well into the aesthetic. Ours look like they attached pamphlets to petrol bunk uniforms. at lest remove that horrible white background for the MPL logo for god's sake

Also, our jerseys never fit it's always too lose. maybe got to do with our player's body type.

The jersey is obviously dull but that face is also playing its part.

Not just a cricket thing, our countrymen have no sense of aesthetics, whether it be fashion, architecture, civil works, arts....a big fall compared to our ancestors who were trendsetters, who made the world stand up and notice/admire. From envy of the world to a laughing stock.

 

So much ugliness all round, imagine wearing this jersey and playing in Arun Jaitley Stadium (or is it still FS Kotla?)...what an eyesore it will be for us viewers!!!!

 

Digressing but take a look at this, where did we lose it all?

If they make jersey's fit to size then guys like Rohit & Pant will embarrass themselves even more.  Also Physique may be the reason.  Take Dube for example..  Guy is built like a Tank & Our Jersey totally fit him. 

I think this is probably  the reason our Jersey is kept loose.

you have a general point here, but I don't think this jersey thing is that deep. They just gave team kit contract to cheap companies who are chummies with our stars instead of thinking of designing talent. I mean what even is MPL a third rate gambling app thats not even the best gambling app in the country. Why would you want to associate your premier sport with that garbage.. even ipl teams have better sponsors. our kaptaan is brand ambassador for both Byzus and MPL and now we have to suffer this eye sore

Because Adidas and Puma backed out and MPL were the only ones who put a bid.

Yeah its the boxes for both Byju's and MPL which make it uglier, why can't it be just blended with the background colors with slight adjustments.

This is MS Paint level stuff from the kit makers.

Finally they replaced the hideous white background behind "MPL" logo.... Now it's merged
