Controversial lbw appeal of Wade

Natarajan to Wade, no run

Pretty full, Natarajan brings this one back into Wade, this is something he has been working on in the recent years, has Wade falling over the flick. Hits the front pad. Not given out lbw. Has that straightened enough to attack leg stump? India call for a review. Or have India been timed out?Looks like, and Kohli has a word with the umpire. And guess what? The tracker returns three reds
 

Kohli called it after watching the big screen. But they showed the replay before 15 secs, it is not his fault. On the tv crew’s defence, they showed it because nobody appealed. Poor cricket by all. The TV crew should display the DRS timer just like in IPL no matter what. And KL, bowler and Kohli should better consult each other better on appeals. Lucky for Wade and Australia, he added 30 more runs and stitched a match winning partnership with Maxwell.

I would Blame it on Rahul and Natarajan, I sensed it was plumb from my TV screen, these guys are right in the middle of the action but still missed it. The guy had already crossed 50, least they could have done is appeal with more intensity and made more noise, Kohli would have definitely gone up well within time. We are at fault here.

On the other hand, Cheater Smith cleverly touched the rope n shud have been 6. We have cry babies here talking about whether using concussion tactics was right or wrong lol.

I think they showed the replay after 15 seconds. Anyway that was the game there, Wade was in supreme touch and we *ed up. Nattu appealed, but maybe cos of being a newbie he wasn't more assertive in asking for review. KL was a letdown, horrible match for him today.

KL looks like he is carrying entire earth on his back whenever he is keeping. Zero energy beyond the stumps.. the least he could do is appeal hard to the umpire when there is even a remote chance.. its not like anyone will blame him if the ball was missing the stumps, every other keeper in the world appeals for every lil chance. Before we even talk about the DRS, there should be the regular appeal by the keeper

 

if he is such a reluctant keeper, better bring in some other keeper

He does appeal. But all silly smiling ones when the ball is two miles away from edge of the bat

See it on espncricinfo, it was shown immediately. The umpire let Kohli go upstairs as well. When the third ump started reviewing, Wade protested and the third ump ascertained that the appeal was after seeing the replay. Why did they have to show the review before the DRS timer goes off. With no appeal, they thought Kohli might not go for DRS anyway

Why does have the kaptaan to be on the boundary? He is a horrible fielder, should be shielded in the circle. If indeed that is where he wants to field, why doesn't he designate his vice captain to decide on DRS calls when fielding in the deep?

Exactly.  Head-scratcher.  The only thing I can think of is that Samson is brilliant in the outfield, especially as a catcher.

 From the description it looks like it doesn't matter what  KL saw. It looks like the TV crew screwed up & India paid the price.

Hmmm, big * up by the TV crew then. ICC must make sure it never happens again. Umpiring too was horrible today, and heavily against India.

It was pathetic. 6 was denied, wides were denied - so aussies could bowl the wide line at the end without getting punished.
