LMAO even someone like Dhoni wasnt required to score over seas 100s. Dravid has a single 100 in Australia. Sehwag has 0. Laxman never scored a single 100 in England. What the * kind of expectations is this from a 23 year old wicket keeper?

He has already been keeping really well so far. He never had a problem keeping in tests. Never had a problem keeping against pacers. Never had a problem keeping in SENA

He's been in good keeping form. Batting is just an added bonus. Just for the record, Sehwag has 2 centuries in Aus.

Wickets will come in the evening.

IMO it was the wrong decision to declare overnight. Should have got more batting practice in the 1st session. The bowlers will have to bowl 90 overs today.

India's real weakness is batting. We have the weapons to take 20 wickets a match. Not sure we have the weapons to score 350+ runs batting first.

They have done the right thing. India needs to figure out plans should Australia win toss and bat first. No point in getting some cheap wickets under lights. It only covers up the potential grey areas we have.

Wrong.

Thats ok, you dont know anything about cricket at Adelaide Oval. I will teach you.

The majority of wickets taken at Adelaide Oval fall during the night session. The caveat being is that you want newish batsmen at the crease during the evening session.

So if Australia bat first, the most important thing India can do is to make sure it makes some inroads into the batting lineup, by taking 2 or 3 wickets before the evening session.

Teams at Adelaide Oval under lights have collapsed plenty of times.

They are TM's expectations, not mine. No other TM would have abandoned him altogether after he got hit while batting, replacing him permanently witha makeshift keeper.

It depends on the pitch as well. We’ve seen how Warner continued and scored 300 against a decent bowling attack last year. While I agree India should avoid batting under lights as much as possible, sometimes it’s unavoidable and team needs to have plan B.

Ashwin will be critical during this day session.  Teams look to score fast during this time period.  Ashwin can pick wickets as well.  Saini is a tempting option. He can be spray gun & leak plenty of runs or pick wickets in a heap.   It can go either way with him.  I think his bouncers are effective & he needs to be used as an enforcer.  Siraj is impressive as well & is bowling tight lines.
