asterix Posted December 18, 2020 Posted December 18, 2020 The art of wasting a New Ball in Test Cricket is something very few Bowlers can achieve. But it comes naturally to our Phast Bowler, Umesh Yadav... He’s naturally gifted of being an eternal Brain dead bowler. He is a work horse with lots of stamina... He’s like a Robot which does the same thing repeatedly. Which is bowling short pitch deliveries without applying any brains. In Umesh’s dictionary there’ are no phrase called “setting up” a batsman. He just comes in and dishes out short pitch deliveries, ball after ball, over after over... raki05, Adamant, OpeningBatsman and 5 others 5 3
Sandeep99 Posted December 18, 2020 Posted December 18, 2020 The unfortunate thing is that he can really extract every ounce with the new ball. He can swing it wild and can control as well. He’s just a gawaar and has zero brain.
The Realist Posted December 18, 2020 Posted December 18, 2020 Spray gun. Maybe Dhoni was right to sideline him all these years.
OpeningBatsman Posted December 18, 2020 Posted December 18, 2020 Gend ko sirf phekna hai.. Kaha jaye farak nahi padta But he is gun in SC conditions.
Tibarn Posted December 18, 2020 Posted December 18, 2020 That is such a stark contrast. Bowling in the 2nd 40 overs Yadav becomes over twice the bowler.

The team strategy is also another. However, I am thinking it is also that he is much more of an old-ball expert. Nowadays our bowlers even get reverse-swing in Australia. Last tour in 2018 we got some serious reverse-swing at the Boxing day test. Edited December 19, 2020 by Tibarn
