Pretty sure EPS and Stalin has an understanding with each other. It’s not a coincidence Stalin put a newcomer against EPS and ADMK gave Chepauk to PMK to contest against Udayanidhi.

Lol. First of all BJP is not opening any "account" here. They had already won 4 seats in 2001 with alliance.The same 4 again now, only because of ADMK vote base. And People are comparing this with Bengal NTK with 6.8 votes without alliance had a much better performance than BJP, establishing as a third front. 

 

What would ideally happen now is EPS having established as a strong leader would have learnt his lesson and will stay clear of BJP in 2026. BJP would go back to be without alliance, will end up getting 4-5 %

In general i thought NDA performed much better than anticipated. 40% to SPA 47%. 75 seats. I was expecting at max 52 to 55 seats. EPS held ground well.

 

BJP got 4 seats which is great. Was at max expecting 1. Tough luck to Murugan in Dharapuram, nearly. Annamalai got 38% which is not bad at all. Probably needed another 10-12k votes to win.

That's a disappointment.  Would have liked to see Kamal as MLA and see how he performs.

 

Another disappointment is Duraimurugan winning in Katpadi and Selvaraj winning Tiruppur South.

 

Big positive in Mafoa Pandiarajan and CV Shanmugam. 

 

Also already TV channels discussing whether EPS a le to become Opposition leader and will OPS allow it. Already Southern ADMK leaders are unequally blaming EPS for this loss

 

The problem for the ADMK in the south was OPS packed the candidates with thevars...especially maravars.

 

While the DKV consolidation happened (it aided ops and nainar) , it was blunted by poor caste choises in the south.

 

The party is now firmly with EPS and the kongu lobby.

In general i feel the transfer of votes from between NDA allies have been uneven. Vaiinyer votes transferred fully in the kongu belt but was patchy in the north. DKV votes in south as mentioned was dependent on candidate. But it was much better than LS 2019. There are merits to stable partnerships. Barring 2014 LS the Congress and DMK have enjoyed a stable partnership.

 

Remains to be seen if there is a long term alliance between ADMK-PMK-BJP. Has the basis for a stable long term block. This block got 40% and if a solution on AMMK can be reached alongside Kamal hassan quitting then this combination will get around 43-44% of the vote.

 

The DMK need to watch out for NTK eating their votes in rural areas....stood third in most seats.
