The Great Punjab Posted January 25, 2021 Posted January 25, 2021 Punjab vs Karnataka Despite Karnataka missing a couple of players, they are still favorites having the experience of performing in knockout stages. Devdutt is obviously the key player upfront but Karnataka tend to play as as team. Punjab has choked and usually underperformed in key knockout matches. To pull of a upset, Punjab would require the opening duo of Abhishek and Prabhsimran to keep their form and give a good start. The middle order hasn't had much exposure though Mandeep and Gurkeerat got a bat last time around against Tripura. The most disappointing has been the decline of Anmolpreet since the u19 especially his fitness. No real spark in Punjab's bowling. Tamil Nadu vs Himachal Tamil Nadu are huge favorites here. The spin factory from TN is their forte coupled with Jagadesan at the top and Karthik in the middle order along with Baba's allround performance. Himachal would require a herculian effort to overthrow TN. Haryana vs Baroda Unsure of this one but Haryana's bowling does give them an advantage. Baroda will be missing a couple of few players. Giving close edge to Haryana. Rajasthan vs Bihar Rajasthan seem firm favorites against the Plate group toppers Bihar. The plate group didn't make sense as there were 8 teams but each team only played 5 matches. The rained out match between Chandigarh/Nagaland put Bihar on top. BacktoCricaddict and Vickydev 2

express bowling Posted January 26, 2021 Posted January 26, 2021 Padikkal batting well But while stroking on the front foot on the off side ... he is playing with a sliced bat and a bit away from the body. He may have issues if the bowlers are a bit quicker than those he is playing now. Did not see this issue that much in the IPL Mosher 1

They are just throwing away their wickets to very average deliveries. I wanted Karnataka to advance for the sake of Prasidh and Padikkal. Plus they played much better as a unit last season, with different players stepping up at different times.

Hopefully the curator keeps it as a sporting pitch even for international matches
