Unreal expectations from Indian fans

Well it hurts to see our batting collapsing on a flat surface..  Centurion test 2018 also comes to mind when pitch was on the slower side & we were supposed to score on that.  Batting is the problem no two ways about it & we simply can't keep ignoring that.  Accepting mediocrity & defeatist attitude will take the team no where.

I still believe with Changes this team can be better.  Pujara & Rahane have passed their peak & only one of them should be in the team & I prefer Rahane.  Karun Nair could've been better investment than Vihari.

It is easy to say they needed to be positive but who is that batsman who needed to be positive.

Rahane can play positively when in the right mindset.

Vihari is not a  4 off 38 balls kind of batter.

Look up for the typical post of "unreal expectations"

No unreal expectations. These guys are millionaires because we waste a lot of time and money on them. Winning and losing is part of the game we all know that is common sense and so are investments but we wouldn’t have this evolved philosophy when we lose money in a bad investment, Do we?

Expectations might be unreal and unreasonable but they are justified.

yes, criticism shouldn’t be personal or bitter.

No has done too often. He rarely contributes in more than one test in series , there is a reason why he averages in low 40s, he is highly inconsistent and he should be on his way out rather than captaining the side. Vihari simply does not have skill to handle high quality fast bowling. They have to move on from him.

Indian fans and media  had the same unreal expectations of winning world cup with a unbalanced side with ageing WK.Question where are the talented batsmen in system? I don't think we have enough talented batsmen coming thru the ranks. Last ATG was Kohli and guys like Pujara , Rahane and Rohit who are good/great in atleast one format came before 2010.

The only guy who has potential to be ATG is Gill in this lineup. You need that ATG to anchor your side.

Check out Rahane's better innings. He played quickly enough. And career SR of 50.

Vihari has a career SR of 47.

Rahane's better innings came when Kohli was there, Kohli helps guy like Rahane by rotating the strike.

Still, there is no reason for Rahane and Vihari to bat at a much lesser SR than their career SR on a decent enough pitch.

The reason is they are not good enough to handle that sort of bowling and score at decent rate.

If you find that you are wasting time and money on players who dont match your expectations, why not use your time and money wisely. Cut off their money supply and your Kohlis and Rahanes will want to prove that they are competitive. Its upto the fans to overcome the addiction of watching cricket and do other important things in life. As long as you are willing to watch the endless commercials for a channel or stream that you pay for, they are going to do as they please and do what all millionaires do.

On a side note, did you observe Mcgrath acting like an used car salesman trying to sell the pink test match to support breast cancer in Austarlia. he even pitched a virtual seat in the SCG :noidea: whatever that means. And today I saw how much money he collected from indians. I'm sure thats a made up stat to promote more indians to give into his charity. Please Icfers dont fall for this shady gimmick. Why would people from a third world country help a first world country for a donation which looks more dodgy with everyday that passes. There are more poor homeless people who you could feed by buying them a meal or a tea and snacks.

I think you misunderstood. I was asking you to look at the post above yours for unreal expectations not your post

India are missing:

Kohli

Shami

Ishant

Bhuvi (say what you want but he can keep pressure and he can bat)

Mayank in middle order where he is supposed to be.

So yes it's going to be hard. We still did well.
