India just need to bat the whole day. Chance blown and famous series victory also likely gone with it. This was always coming. India's batting has been shaky since decline of Fab 4. How is it going to be rebuilt? Rohit as opener? Give me a break. He's not even good enough to bat at 5 or 6. Chepu continue at 3? Yeah if you have trouble getting to sleep at night and don't feel there's not enough pressure on other batsmen as it is Vihari? I'm sorry, what has he ever done of worth so far that we can cling to? So the way I see it that leaves: 1. Space 2. Space 3. Space 4. Kohli 5. Rahane 6. Space Lets slot Gill in at 3 (where being slightly more attacking a bit easier). We can't waste him as an opener and we can't dislodge VK so... 1. Space 2. Space 3. Gill 4. Kohli 5. Rahane 6. Space So who are the contenders for 1, 2 and 6? Kohli and Rahane probably only got 3 years left in them too so need to move now. KLR is not an opener. Maybe he can be given a run at no.6?

There will be entertainment as a viewer. It includes 4 batsmen under 30 years old which is a good blend of youth and experience. Other contenders should be potential left handed batsmen however their first class records are not that great. Would be nice if Sharma, Dhawan, Pujara, Rahane are phased out slowly but in a more planned manner! The last transition nearly a decade ago was brutal

Couple of left handed batsman should be tried in top 5. We have seen how much difference it brings when fresh talented youngsters ie Gill,Siraj are brought in the squad. Aa many of the first choice players are nursing injuries we should try some promising youngsters.
