My favorite ODI series for a long long time..  Quality of cricket was unbelievable.  Drama entertainment,  close finishes amazing crowd.  Overall Tour was superb. 

There was a T20 game also at a football stadium...  Electric atmosphere.  Shahrukh & Anil Kapoor had a massive concert there..  India won that T20.  That series was massively covered in South Africa.

Yes exactly i remember the t20 win where Rohit played a blistering innings as well as an odi where virat scored 80 odd not out and we lost due to crap dl rule. I think Virats innings in thag match made him sureshot for the w cup which came immediately after it. He was already in mix after his twin centuries in lanka but this knock was playing abroad against good pace attack.

Yusuf and Sreesanth were the only two players to be part of both the 2007 T20 WC and 2011 WC Victories.

 

Yusuf was a beast against the Spinners.

Good luck to him, was part of both t20 and wc team. I dont think one can ask for more. Had a brilliant ODI series in SA and you thought this man has arrived but never went beyond it.

Happy retirement to YP. He is an IPL pioneer of sorts. He was signed up for 700 or 800k in the first IPL thanks to his big hitting ability in domestic cricket. He is the first big ticket hire among cricketers who hadn't played or had very limited international experience.

Pathan only hit 1 four against Steyn in that Final ODI. He destroyed Morkel in that final ODI

yusuf "tank" pathan gave me many fond memories. I think he had some serious limitations, but I also believe that he underachieved to an extent.
