Pakistanis ignored by China, will depend on Indian vaccines that too from Foreign Aid

I fully support providing whatever vaccines Pak needs. I understand sentiments and all but it is not our dharma and culture to stop medicines just because they are hostile to us. Vaccines goes to all, good or bad. Good population should not only be supported and helped but also be considered one of our own. If anyone holds gun against us, they can be isolated and taken care of. Simple as that. The strength also means patience, compassion and  generosity.

This is a success for Vishwagurus : they haven't completed vaccinating a significant percent of Injuns, but are busy giving what resources they do have to others. This reminds me of the days of Visa-mata

These are not in government control, private enterprises using Indian labs for mass production. It is controlled by a global alliance, India cannot cut distribution and use it all up for self. They are using the soft power for diplomacy, the cases in India are plummeting as well

I wasn't specifically talking about the padosis alone, India has been giving vaccines to various countries( some with significantly greater income/better health infrastructure than ours), when we ourselves are at greater risk from any mutations in the virus than they are.

 

Regarding the padosis, you are correct that that GAVI is providing the money to produce millions of doses from SII. However, my criticism of the government is:  it should be doing what Biden/US is doing and spending the money itself to have those made in India for Indians first. Pay the cost, even if it is more than what GAVI is paying. Also pay to develop the infrastructure to store and use the extra vaccines. Let India vaccinate the world after. 

 

Maybe I am wrong and we don't have the money for making all those vaccines, but these were my thoughts when I read the news originally, so I take it back if I am jumping the gun...
