No one is scared and especially Modi LOL. But there is something called as privacy. You are not suppose to broadcast private govt meetings in public. Kejri aparently didnt knew it and learnt a harsh lesson today when PM beizzat him called him out openly. Hope he adheres to the protocols in future.

The local people are against opening the plant. Govt wants to avoid law and order issue now. For now TN is in oxygen surplus, but things might change in a week or two.

What about for the rest of the country? The Tata , Jindal, Reliance plants that are now producing. Medical grade oxygen are not for their state only, but for the rest of the country. Time is now in o invest in MGO in whatever means for short term gain.

They are assuming that copper production will start. That's not the case.  This is the issue with this country. As Naipaul said: Indians do not think beyond family, caste and region.

Why should it be the private sector. It is pretty much confirmed that this wave is not the final one. What can be more important to the government that health infrastructure? Building cold storage for vaccine transport, building oxygen plants are necessary

Govt is not efficient in these things. They don’t run things like business that’s why you see lot failures at implementation. Look at Indian history of DRDO etc. The only organization that was successful is ISRO again they ran space agency as business. Even US govt failed at many things. Govt implementation always runs in to red tape.

Govmnt needs oxygen now. It has stopped industrial usage of oxygen and also importing. To start Building plant now is not going to help the crisis unless we know it will come back again in 2022. Same is true for vaccine , doctors and other stuff. We need them all now.

The demand surge is crazy we can import vaccines and oxygen but it will take sometime with logistics. We should assume it will come back again. As you see the Spanish flu had a third wave as well.

The arguments of "Why Statue?" and "Why new parliament?" are lacking in sense of civilization.  All these are monuments of civilization that increase the pride in one's own culture.

Everyone failed here people, governments , BJP, Maharashtra , Delhi , AP, Telangana etc. AP  had a COVID task force they dismantled after the cases decreased. Everyone was sleeping. But the thing is basic common sense escapes people if they don’t wear the damn masks. Why is it so hard ?

The only hope is the virus mutates in to less severe version and dies down. God/Goddess help my country people.

All mutations are random, of course.  More replications = more variants, of all types.  There are just as many less severe variants produced as there are VOCs (variants-of-concern), but are outcompeted by the VOCs and disappear (Which is why the VOCs are VOCs).  The only way to stop VOC appearance is to slow down the rate of replication.  The only way to slow down rate of replication is to slow down spread.  The only way to slow down spread is to be vaccinated, mask up, distance.

Can Modi declare an emergency & instruct industries to produce oxygen cylinders ?

No way. But later part of your suggestion is allready done. Over 2 weeks back. Not only that, oxygen is being imported from neighbouring nations via sea route
