Lone Wolf Posted May 2, 2022 Posted May 2, 2022 It was a really good over from Prasidh... Just plain unlucky.. Lot went against him. express bowling and singhvivek141 2
singhvivek141 Posted May 2, 2022 Posted May 2, 2022 Chahal should have held back...till the last over. Samson should know that Nitish struggles against high pace and Rinku isn't that great either. Umpires did their best to spoil RR's chances as well.
express bowling Posted May 2, 2022 Author Posted May 2, 2022 Prasidh 4th over 142 144 .. good yorker 144 ... wide 144 ... wrongly given wide 144 Slower 146 .. cracking yorker 144 ... wide but marginal call ..... vishalvirsingh, Mosher and singhvivek141 1 2

He is doing a great branding job. ian bishop appreciates all genuine fast indian pacers and speaks with genuine passion. i like his commentary totally. good point is that he appreciates speed. he has opportunity to appreciate trundlers too but he reserves his comments. he has appreciated UMesh yadav , bumrah and shammi quite a bit, also appreciated Prasidh. express bowling Posted May 2, 2022 Author Posted May 2, 2022 Just now, rkt.india said: I would have liked him to try to hit the stump Yorkers at full pace. Can't defend runs without taking wickets. I agree. But it looks like a plan from the RR management. Every match they have made all their pacers bowl wide of the batsmen in the death overs. Prasidh was just trying to execute that plan. Field setting was off side based... Stump yorkers could be scooped or hit on leg side... Rinku was continuously shuffling to do that.

Once they had a partnership the target was never big enough Also its just not this game they didnt go after Iyer in previous as well singhvivek141 1

When it's very evident that both Shreyas and Nitish have serious issues playing short pitched pacey deliveries. When they brought back Chahal....equation was 32 in 3, I know it's a big if but had Kuldeep and Prasidh continued and left 15-16 runs for the last over, it could have been a thriller game till the end. That 13 runs of Chahal gave momentum to KKR and Rinku, and pushed RR to go defensive. express bowling and Ankit_sharma03 2

In the last few overs, Samson is packing the off side and not providing protection for straight yorkers at the stumps or the odd bouncer. This is forcing the pacers to bowl wide of the the off stump continuously. While the straight yorker still remains one of the best deliveries at the death, combined with surprise bouncers and slower balls. Forward Defence, Lone Wolf, Mosher and 1 other 4

After Boult's misfield Samson should have reassessed his field setup. That delivery was executed according to plan yet it went for four.
