Now Indian selectors should actually mark umran as they had marked Sachin tendulkar.

even if he gives runs or does not take wickets in some matches , he should always be in and around the team 11/team 15.

Selectors first need to identify that Umran should be for Tests, odi and T20 OR for ODI and Tests OR for ODI and T20.

Then Selectors should not not be tempted in selecting a Harshal Or a Arshdeep Or even a Deepak CHahar ahead of him in those formats.

its like if sachin scores 10 runs , you wont select Ajay Jadeja ahead of Sachin in the team 11 or team 15.

If I am the CHief selector I will Play Umran in TESTS and ODI's and Not play him in T20"s.

every 4 over spell Umran will bowl , he will get wickets or create enough chances even in PATTA tracks. on Green tracks He may get 2 or more wickets in 4 over spells and then kinda make team win. 3 spells in a day ( only 12 overs of sheer pace) and he will definitely get 3 or more wickets as he is accurate on the stumps too.

in ODI too, batsman bring the defensive game first and He has a tendency to get better control over his line n length when batsman give him a little respect , post that he becomes unplayable. i see him winning us many ODI's too.

In T20 world cup , he can win us matches on Green tracks but can give away a lot of RUNS if the batters are of top class like warner. i would be tempted to play him in the world cup , though I know T20 is not the ideal place for him.

Khaleel, Prasidh , may be even Karthik tyagi , Bumrah , even mohsin khan are smarter fast bowlers. i would consider shardul and deepak chahar ahead of bhuvi as shardul and deepak chahar bat and field better than bhuvi. Bowling perspective BHuvi/deepak chahar/shardul are similar. Hardik is a better bet than Deepak chahar and Shardul thakur.

Hope selectors manage Umran, Tyagi , mohsin, Kuldeep sen, Prasidh, Avesh Khan much better than what they did with Umesh and Varun. Siraj seems out of rhythm.

Umesh during 2011 to 2017 and Bumrah during 2017 to 2019 crossed 149 kph often enough.  And that too in tests.

And Bumrah has done it twice in tests in 2021 too.

I meant today they don't bowl 149K...they have bowled 149k in the past, specifically BOOM and Umesh. Boom tocuhes upto a max of 148K some times, Umesh and shammi are under 146K.

I think next game SRH v RCB we might see SRH dropping Umran but hope they don't.  They should bring back Jansen as Abott is worse.

Use Umran in middle overs against RCB's Indian middle order.

Tyagi should bowl more with new ball as he has better control & gets good bounce with his height.

Some fine tuning & better captaincy could make this bowling attack lethal.  Williamson has been doing weird stuff in last few games &,  ideally should b dropped now.  Hand it over to Pooran or Markram.

Our pool of serious pace is getting larger

In the order of skillsets

Bumrah

Prasidh

Tyagi

Umran

Sen

Khaleel was seriously impressive in this high scoring game.  Dude definately has got some skill & brains now.  He is going under the radar but I'll like to see him in T20 squad vs SA.  He certainly offers a lot more than Nattu.

Skills wise, I think Tyagi is better than Prasidh.
Prasidh has a limitation while bowling in death, Tyagi can bowl in any situation as he has all the deliveries in his arsenal.
For now, maybe due to experience Prasidh might be better, but Tyagi will surpass him if he remains fit and play regularly.

We can include Siraj as well, pace wise he is similar to Prasidh but skill wise he falls under Tyagi.

I will drop baggage Boobie

Nattu still has some usability than the former

He's once again trying to fool his way back to the t20 squad like disCount Pujara for tests

NO dear Prasidh is the best bounce bowler that India has.

So He is probably the best as far as bowling a bouncer even of a little short than full length.

getting bounce of that length is very tough and Prasidh and Hazelwood have this skill. a little bit Marco Jenson also has that skill but he was bowling too slow in this IPL ( around 135K).

I have seen Hazelwood getting bounce of near to full length and even Prasidh doing same though not as good as Hazelwood.

even in that test when India got out under 60 runs , Hazel got a few wickets caught in SLIPS including Virat. So Prasidh has a Skill in which probably He has no competition. others get bounce of a shortish ball and so I would Pick Prasidh in my 11 for T20/Tests and ODI. I will prefer to rotate bowlers though.

Tyagi was smart and fast today But he does not seem to be as good as Prasidh as of today.

seeing Siraj's bowling in the IPL , i will not select him to play for INDIA in T20 against Africa. i understand there is one T20 series to be played after IPL between africa and INDIA.

I have included only those Indian pacers in this list who can bowl entire overs around 90 mph or higher if they want, along with hostility.

Khaleel is a very good Fast-medium bowler now with really good white ball skills. But he is not a genuine quick yet. Bounce at sharp pace is his forte.

Siraj is Fast-medium too.

Tyagi has a higher ceiling than Prasidh but Prasidh has FC experience and can bowl 20 overs a day. He is the more developed bowler as of today.

I think it is enough to warrant selection in T20s. that left-arm angle is another valuable asset

Why are u guys not picking arshdeep ,a tall left armer who can bowl with control and swing is rare on top of that he has improved his pace,he should definitely be considered

He hasn't done well with the new ball. Struggled to control the swing and hardly any wickets.

I was not selecting any team or squad

Was outlining the genuine quicks we have in the order of skill sets and not speed.

Tyagi can bowl with the new ball, in the middle and at the death in T20s.

With the kind of accurate yorkers, bouncers and channel balls he is bowling at high pace ... the selectors must keep a close eye on him.

I hope he gets to play the remaining 4 games this season.
