Tyagi's slower balls are better and more varied than most pacers except Bumrah. And his yorkers are quicker than 2026 Bumrah.

Need to back him.  Very skilful.

There is zero visible change in action. WHen you look at guys like Archer and otherbowlers look innocuous when they deliver slow balls. You know it is a slow ball immediately. Compared to hism he is way better.

148 k serious Pace...just saw high lights as I was on a Jog( did not know karthik is playing).

first Match- one cannot be judged. i am happy to feel that he is being considered to be in the 11. i hope he gets a chance to be in the 11 for next matches. he definitely bowled better than Vaibhav arora.

saw in bcci.tv match centre, 17.2 over fastest ball was 149.2k....and he mixed a lot of slow balls

he bowled a lot of slow balls.

he has to bowl mix but his slow ball percentage was more then fast.

he has to bowl 50 percent slow and 50 percent super fast.

Rickleton was rushed a few times also befuddled a few times. He has full repertoire of fast bowlers tools. SLower balls, yorker,  back of a length. They should bring him into the set up immediately and start grooming him. If you leave him out to domestic we will lose him for sure. He has some of the rarest attributes for a genuine fast bowler. Height, rhythmic run up.

Tyagi  2nd over

148

Slower

147

146

146

@Mosher, @Suhaan, @singhvivek141, @Rightarmfast, @tapandrun@rkt.india, @MK55 @tweaker, @Need4Speed, @raki05 @Vk1, @Sean Bradley @vishalvirsingh, @bouncers, @speedster

Good speeds, but honestly i would take 20 overs a day in a test at 138-142 kph with accuracy over a 4 over spell of 150 kph from delicate darlings. Remember the goal is to find Bumrah replacement. Plus speed travels to the stands in modern day T20is, bowlers with varaition and smart angles are the need of the hour today.

You won't find Bumrah replacement for Tests in IPL.

Likes of Gurnoor, Eden Apple have bowled at rapid pace in FC, but one isn't suited for T20 and other one wasn't even selected.

Ashok Sharma is fitter though, and he is express. Shades of Umesh Yadav physique wise, can bowl lethal yorkers but on such flat pitches may go for runs as well.

Tyagi overall bowled very well yesterday even after going for runs in first over. Pulled things back and his numbers would have been lot better had Vaibhav not dropped catch of Rickelton, who know that would have given KKR an early window to teeth into Mi batting order,

In the IPL, we have to look for the next really good T20 pacer. Maybe a good ODI pacer to some extent.

To find good  20 overs a day pacer, we have to look at FC cricket.  [  Gurnoor Brar,  Ashok Sharma, Eden Apple Tom ]

The reason why Tyagi's high speeds interest me a lot is because he is  1 ) Bowling really good yorkers and stump directed balls at these speeds  2 )  He is alternating thus with good slower balls of different types.

If you notice, the over that I tagged posters interested in fast bowling, there were multiple slower balls alternating with 146 to 148 k balls. Which actually increases the efficacy of both the slower and faster balls.

Agree that we wont find a replacement of Bumrah in IPL, but Bumrah was discovered in the IPL, my point was can we drive a discipline like Bumrah in others to been groomed into his replacement, Tyagi can be groomed, so can Gurnoor and Tom. But Tyagi is injury prone and has missed many opprtunities due to his injury.

Abhinandan also hit 140

Abhinandan doesnt seems to have legs.

He is turning like Yudhvir...Yudhvir also have clocked 144-145. But in general he is a 130-140 pacer.

Let's see if they turn out to be 140 k+ or are just 135 k+.

Mangesh is short, doesn't look impressive, may do well in IPL just like Sandeep Sharma,Harshal but not an enduring contender

Dont think RCB is anyway going to promote young pacers.

Avinash Manhas was there, came out without any games.

SRH too has lot of trundler love, Umran was an exception due to support by Kane mama.

In comparison KKR seems lot better, they backed Prasidh, Sandeep Warrier, Nagarkoti, Mavi in their younger days.

The only good thing the KKR management does is select young pacers and give them opportunities

Teams like SRH need to drop undercutter and purple Patel to give chances to other young pacers

I find it baffling that likes of Lokesh Raj, Eden Apple Tom dont find place in IPL teams...but uber scamsters like Unadkut, Harshal, Avesh, Mukesh does.

IPL is all about defensive gimmicky bowlers who will move their wrists to produce on gimmick after the other. But send then to international tests and they will be bashed mercilessly.

IPL owners like those gimmick type bowlers but I don't think SENA coaches prefer those jockers like undercutter
