Omkar Tarmale from Mumbai, bowled 140+ in domestic.

Which team is he in? I say play all the domestic pacers with potential. I'm hoping after Hinge and Saqib show it'll allow more IPL teams to trust youngsters.

Give them lucrative Hindi commentary contracts.

Unadkunt, Harshal Marshall, Sandeep Unkil, Mukesh bhaiyaji.

Super hit show ... " Trundlers' Corner ".

No commentators' gigs for these kind of experts, already alot of damage has been done to fast bowling prospect.

They keep talking bad about any1 trying to bowl fast, one can only imagine what they might be telling bowlers or worse the coaches in-person

Need experts/commentators who knows about fast bowling , encourage fast bowlers can help them develop.

Ashok just needs to get his lengths right. I am not in favour of changing anything else.

If he can bowl a high % of good length balls in the normal overs and a high % of yorkers in the death overs, he will do well. His lines are mostly ok

Agree

Not beaten for pace ,that was hard length, people now have started realising it's a great weapon against high tempo batsmen like Vaibhav Abhi Head Salt you name them

Not hard length, the bowlers are bowling him -ive line, something similar to wagner used to bowl just less bounce (top of the pad to just below chest-height).

This is where his natural bat swing may not have full-power. The ball is starting out-side his peripheral vision and as he does not play those dabs and flicks but uses full bat swing he may not exactly be able to tell/guess the legth, hence he is either playing defensive block or is in bit awkward pos to play full/hook shot

Rabada and Bhumrah also tried the same thing

pacers are trying 2 thing yorker 1st-up and then go defensive line

Parts I like .....

having a long conversation with bowling coach B Arun. Then he sent down a short, sharp spell, visibly high on pace.

"Mayank is ready to go," Moody said on Tuesday. "He didn't come into our thinking early in the tournament because he was still a little underdone. Not from a fitness point of view - his fitness was good - but in terms of bowling loads and feeling comfortable at the crease. We feel he is now at that point. He has worked exceptionally hard "

High time

Mayank must be itching to beat Ashok pace wise.

Its tough for any fast bowler to see someone else taking his place in terms of pace. It an healthy competition and promotes positive push.

Unadkat side eyes you

Think Mayank will play next lsg game.

Last year I also thought he will play next game, then he did not play even when he was fit half way the tourney. Kept on waiting hoping he will be there next game and so on, the whole IPL season ended. This year I think LSG must have laready played 4 and he wansn't part of any. I don't think they are itnerested in pickign him in playing 11 from what I have seeing since last season. Maybe he will get the token 1 or 2 matches this season, if at all he gets any.

Good to see that the NCA is focussing on bowlers' runups and running mechanics .

Quite a few bowlers have decent running mechanics now - Reddy, Hinge, Tyagi.

3-4 years back, it was not an area of particular focus.

Tyagi has improved his runup, quite evident

Earlier he used to have those long strides, impulse stride has also massively improved

I hear a lot of commies , analysts talking about Mangesh Yadav.  Is he any good? Saw one or two videos. Look short.  While talking about him, why si Sushant mishra not getting a chance?

LSG .... Same team with Mayank as an Impact Sub.

Likely to come in unless another batting collapse.

I hope they dont call M Siddharth to bowl with Rathi instead as they akready have 3 pacers..

M Siddharth will come most likely as a second spinner. Mayank should have been in for Avesh.
