Yes or other scenario is use a proper swing bowler and 3-4 spinners on dust bowls.

having said that need all types of bowlers and I am not impressed by this Aquib from Kashmir. I feel that Bhuvi, Akashdeep quota can go to him. We judged him too harshly  on his debut. Don’t get me wrong he is trundlerish 130-140 max but I feel he has some good red ball skills and line.

Akash is still playing and doing good.we don’t need Kamboj

Mukesh has been very accurate in the two games he has played.

Was always blessed with sharp pace.  Showed great intensity after the tragic incident that happened

Mukesh jaat chora hai...good point about him is he bowled all 24 balls between 135 to 144k..i did not see any slow ball in 120's. he contibuously attacked the batsmen on the offside and gave away minimum runs among the csk bowlers even less than kambhoj. i am sure he will go upto 147k once he regains confidence. he was faster and more impressive than khaleel who bowls 3 slow balls out of 6.

even see karthik was hit off the slow balls yesterday and once or twice snicked for a 6 too. he even bounced back after bowling too beamers which were declareee

The primary issue is pace maintenance; his speeds drop from the high 130s to the low 130s after the initial burst

Yesterday Mohsin did not field as he was unfit. He is a very good bowler, no doubt about that, but he seems to have some serious fitness issues.

Munaf did bowl 140+ when he started but he was lazy and tried to become McGrath.

Very true, I think the slowness was after his injury, he had a brilliant Yorker like delivery when he was fast, when he slowed down his main delivery was an out seamer like McGrath.  Look at Irfan Pathan, he was fast and swing, people say he tried to alter his bowling style.

Its not just  the age, its was a common trade which is still followed in Ind cricket, bowlers come to Ind side bowls at decent to good pace 2/3 season once they are settled in the side they drop the pace or gets injured and then drop the pace.

Maintaining/Increasing/Sustaining the pace only came-up with bowlers like bhuvi/bhumrah/Shami under Bhart Arun

Pathan was never "fast"...he was around 135-140 in Australia CB series of 2003-04.

Later in 2004, he took some guidance from Wasim, and started bowling huge banana swing, but at 125kph. Later got injured after lifiting heavy weights in the gym.

Pathan in 2010-11 even accepted that his injuries were mostly due to lifting extremely heavy weights which his body couldnt sustain. In 2012-2013 he was barely touching 120-125.

in his first test munaf clocked 147kph

Its the problem with psyche as well.

Some of these players, who come from extrwmely poor background. The momebt they get money they stop focussing on cricket and start other businesses.

RP Singh, Munaf, Praveen, Nathu Singh, Irfan..they all stopped working hard and gave up in late 20s itself. Thats why Umesh was the trend setter, remained fast for a decade. Even Aaron bowled fast despite so many injuries.

Gurnoor Brar

Tall fast bowler from Punjab...bowls at 138-142kph in FC under domestic speed guns.

Not a pure 145-150 kph speed merchant, but can generate disconcerting bounce like Mohsin, is athletic and can slog as well.

Though I doubt his T20 bowling skills.
