Graeme Hick(s) of IPL

For those who do not remember, Hick was a Zim cricketers who played for Eng. He was brilliant in domestic cricket, hit a 405*,  w/ many perceiving him as the next big thing but failed to adjust to the pressure and expectations of international cricket. Who are the Graeme Hicks in T20s in the short to mid term (in the long term, they can improve their game so can give a benefit of doubt). My picks so far from the talented ones who have had considerable chances:

Tier 1 (needs to up his game big time)

  • Gill (probably looks a little like Hick too). So far has achieved selected success in T20s (and even in ODIs has looked at sea at times). In the game v RR, appeared lost on the field, dropping straight forward chances. Needs big improvement

Tier 2 (hanging on but need to move to the next level)

  • Shaw. A talented cricketer but inconsistent with the bat and a liability on the field. Not sure about his game sense as well. For a guy batting in the top order, his success rate is limited. Played well v SRH today, but messed up on the run out call (behind the wkt is non striker's call)
  • Sundar. Brilliant with the ball (so has a big positive) but needs to improve his batting (hitting abilities) and fielding can be abysmal

Didn't he play a nice cameo a couple of days ago? He seems to have adopted an aggressive approach now, unlike last year where he looked out of his depth and batted to preserve his wicket. He us just a kid moving up from under 19 to pro grade cricket.  Hick was 25 and an accomplished county player when he made his international debut.

Posters in ICF wanted to replace Dhawan with Gill because Dhawan was too slow. LOL:hysterical:

These braindead analysts don't even have a clue about player's style. Same goes for Sundar as opener:adore:

Shaw is going well, he is the only one capable of replacing dhawan but still needs some time.
