2014 T20 WC Final, 2015 WC SF, 2016 T20 WC SF, 2017 CT Final, 2019 WC SF, 2021 WTC Final - when will this choking end?

So it's not just the senior men's team. It's pretty much at every freakin level. Only probable explanation (excuse) can be "the weight of a billion and a third" people at the grandest of the stage. 

 

It saddens me to say this but except Dhoni and Gambhir, we haven't produced a single cricketer in this century, who is/was mentally tough enough to treat these finals as just another game. Kohli can shout that all he wants but it's apparent on his face that he's shitting his pants.. 

We did win a u-19 WC final. In other tournaments, we were not good enough

 

Women's WC was not a choke either. We punched above our weight.

 

But in general you are right, we have lost too many finals. Besides the poor leadership, could this be due to the mental strength on the big day? Could someone like Paddy Upton, our mental conditioning coach from 2008-2011 help us? Many players had acknowledged his contribution. I remember Rudi Wester a sports psychologist had worked with the team in 2012.

yes, they are all much better at handling pressure than the "great" chaser Kohli, who mostly does this in inconsequential games.
