Reason to look at someone like shaw is coz he has that tempo that gives us a fiery start and puts opposition off their plans. Mayank , gill bring nothing new which dhawan was already doing, in the case ill stick to dhawan Mayank bosses spin no matter the format of the game though. He has given his ipl franchises whirlwind starts. not well rounded enough or young enough though i agree. 16 minutes ago, maniac said: That applies to technique and say new skills like a new variation for a bowler or adapting to a new condition etc . Not for fitness and fielding which is as basic as it gets. OTOH you persist with someone who is lacking a little in fitness if they have oodles of natural ability. You can train to get fitter like kohli did, you can't coach hand eye co-ordination and natural talent to hit the ball.

Guys like KL n Raina took their attacking game to different level , with KL it wasnt even much there as he was very much in a red ball player mould. U gotta invest in X factor players, coz they ll win u matches from nowhere. We all know poor a fielder was bumrah . Pant went in Australia with weight issues and became fit in a month and ended up as hero Tahir played for Sa and was like most pakistani fielders , but he made it XI coz he bought something different. If your bring a different n X factor skill, these things can be given time to improve.

rollingstoned Posted July 13, 2021 Posted July 13, 2021 England really shouldn't be allowed to steal some of these singles where the ball is struck firmly to mid on.
SK_IH Posted July 13, 2021 Posted July 13, 2021 You gotta to give it to Sarfaraz, since the time he has come on the field, he has tried very hard to get noticed & uplift the jazba of Pakistani awaam

That goes without saying. However at the top most level natural ability gets you only that far.
SK_IH Posted July 13, 2021 Posted July 13, 2021 I hope this is a career changing 100 for Vince, he has been stuck in 40-60s for far too long.

Someone like Inzi had a long career for this reason.
maniac Posted July 13, 2021 Posted July 13, 2021 I was worried about my Gym routine today. I think England have already done enough for me to have some content on YouTube Frustrated 1
Prabhdeep Singh Posted July 13, 2021 Posted July 13, 2021 James Vince England's version of Rohit Sharma, a gifted stroke maker but has had temperament issues in past.
Norman Posted July 13, 2021 Posted July 13, 2021 Fukk this is getting boring now. Come on poyzz pick up a wicket and make things interesting.
