the team has changed from 2019. Akashdeep not here. But again its the youth who are making headlines.. so cant fault the selectors..

Technically it's not a knock out, we still play for bronze . That should ease the pressure

We have no shot against Aussies but I think we have good chance against Belgium.  Fingers crossed

i think we have a mental block vs aussies in hockey. we are so much better vs belgium and nedtherlands. infact we give belgium hell. We are always a tough matchup for the dutch. Its aussies and to a lesser extent germany that we struggle with for some reason.

 

Same in cricket. we have a bad mental block vs kiwis for some god damn reason away from home. At home we will obviously butcher them.

india drew with belgium in 2018 in the champions trophy in Berda Netherlands

 

we also drew with them in the hockey world cup in 2018

 

So head to head in recent times its not been that bad.

I have a feeling this is a repeat of the 2003 WC.

 

Pool stage thrashing by the Aussies, then went on an unbeaten run till the final and then choked/lost against Aussies again. Hoping for a miracle against Belgium and that Germany beat Aussies.

 

India vs Germany final will be much easier for us

uselss taking h2h for a long period though. we were really poor for a long time.

 

would be as wrong as using our h2h against wi in cricket or for that matter pakistan.
