Is this seriously the best 2nd string attack in India?

Kind off

Bhuvi, chahal, kuldeep, pandya are basically from 1st line

Saini is in 2nd line now since prasidh n siraj have gone ahead.

Chahar is very good in t20 , dnt knw why they wanna make him into odi bowler . Same krunal whose bowlinh is suited for t20s

Apart from chahar this is almost 1st string

Is Karti Tyagi in England?

Also where is Natarajan? Injured?

where are the 140+ pacers?

backups are Sakariya, really?

It was a great chance to pick bowlers like Kartik, Mavi, Warrier. But they pick half fit Bhuvi. Chahar is only good for t20

Tyagi is not in England, training in India in gym :wp23:for IPL

Dadus are preferred be it 1st,2nd or 3rd xi,they are cringe level pragmatic BCCI,they try to shape him before they consider him ready but ironically same guy bowls against international t20 stars in IPL, would haven't done bad here

India's love for trundlers is well known,we have suddenly reignited that love once again in the name of t20s,same is reflected in odis

I believe odis are lesser harsh on newcomers, kartik, mavi should have played odis here

I agree with OP, I mean having qualified for the WC already why not test new players??? Why the fak are we afraid of losing to SL? I mean we have beaten them so many times even if we get whitewashed it doesn’t matter, just test youngsters in this meaningless series ffs

The Indian cricket fraternity have a love for trundlers.

In their minds, somehow lack of pace means control and accuracy.

I fail to understand how Kartik Tyagi misses out ?

He should have been in the playing 11 let alone the squad.

Such a wonderful chance to develop Tyagi faster has been wasted.

True, don’t understand why Tyagi isn’t in the squad for the Lankan series

Even RR team management play Sarkaria the trundeler ahead of Tyagi. I am not sure whats wrong with people in India who make decision.

No. kartik was injured. As soon as he got fit, he was played immediately.

Only in the eyes of Indian fans & selectors it is a 2nd string attack.  Associate  cricket teams have more watchable bowlers than this.

Kartik Tyagi,  Mavi & even Saini need to be in the playing XI.  What are we still doing with Bhuvi?  His ODI record over the years isn't enough for us or his World cup performance

Looking at the 11s the have been picked, it's quite clear the Kohli-Shastri do not want to see new layers succeed and putting the seniors spot at risk.

Saini, Rahul Chahar, Bishnoi, Varun, or younger pacers like Kartik Tyagi , Mavi or Warrier  doing well would have meant questions marks over Bhuvi, Deepak Chahar, Chahal. No wonder they are not being picked.
