Practically guaranteeing defeat while also securing their places for a further 18 months. Not sure how the Gods create such situations for us

The * was RGS doing? Threw the wicket away thrice in the same situation, same way - Sydney, last test & again this game! As a senior player when the * will he learn :whack2:

Pujara will be dropped ..

Yes. Im sure there will be a method to the way India go about removing Kohli, Pujara and Rahane from this team.

Pujara first, then Rahane, then the captaincy from Kohli, then Kohli out of the team.

For Kohli to be removed from the captaincy, imperative that Hitman actually starts playing consistently and delivers regularly.

India does not have one player that is going to be an automatic lock in the team, that can captain as well.

I don't know why Pujara gets so much hate on this form. It's fine both Pujara and Rahane have been terrible with form but what they did yesterday was best possible scenario for us. They aren't know for scoring at pace. The least they could do is go for blockathon and they did that.

We need to question Rohit Sharma. He had already hit one 6 and played same shot again to fall in the plan set by bowlers. Getting out to your best shot is the most awful thing.

But they failed at the blockathon too, getting out halfway.

They played for themselves, which is normal for any player. But they failed to up the pace after settling in. You can't harmlessly tap back hittable balls and still continue as a specialist batsman.

Only because of them we are going into 5th day. Otherwise this match would have been over yesterday. We have an opportunity of fighting back today. If Pant has a quickfire 30-40 runs today, we stand a decent chance.

If you are just doing blockathon, you have to last longer or score enough runs too so that it would take more time for opposition to chase. You are just blocking and then get out with scoring and still giving lot of time for opposition to chase the total.

Playing Pujara in England is lol worthy since ball swings throughout the day in England and there is always a chance of a collapse
