Its the ego.. of the team management / bcci / ecosystem of analysts/past players etc not realizing that India could have a pathetic set of batsmen incapable of batting in overseas ( and even in India if we lose toss and opp scores big in 1st innings like in Chennai test )

I have issues with Virat's team selection but he is aggressive and in most cases does not let the match slip away. Watching Dhoni's captaincy in tests was a torture.

I think he was better just that he had sh!t resources, the first cap to defeat SA home or away between 1992/93 IIRC till 2002 under Ganguly.

Dude sachin didnt have even 1% of the bowling virat did and his batsmen were mostly fixers. Sachin also didn't have much power in team selrction and rarely got the players he eanted.

 

Can you tell me exactly what bad decisions sachin really took as a captain?
