Billings is a very smart choice, they are anticipating that ashwin will play so billings becomes a smart choice since he plays spin well

He won't be a part of playing eleven, no space for him as of now.

I think Bairstow will keep wickets and Pope will replace Buttler. Also Woakes for Curran

good to see woakes back. in these specific conditions, he is better than all but 1-2 of our current bunch of pacers.

Not sure if he's gonna be a big factor in the last two matches as the pitches woukd be relatively dry.

India might be in trouble now.

Woakes

Overten

Robinson

Anderson

India need to pick Thakur/Ashwin for Ishant to strengthen batting.

They are talking of resting Anderson or Robinson. No Broad, Stokes or Archer and they still have enough bench strength to roll the Indian batters over. They think Overton is good enough for Chokohlibaba and his group of feckers! :giggle:

They won't. They didn't rest him when he was injured before test 2.

Ashes is still far away n he ll have enough time in between , against a side like India u wnt rest ur best bowler

They can rest him in ashes apart from pink ball game

Aus pitches need diff kind of bowlers

Siraj with 135kph bowling did well there. .  So I think except SCG..   Andu would be pretty good.  His pace isn't the problem as he regularly out pacing Ishant Sharma..  And his 2nd 3rd spells are of Siraj's speed.

He did show massive reverse swing skills in India.  Anderson's last away Ashes might be somewhat different.  It all boils down to Smith again.  He will nail Marnus I think.

Probably I am just comparing their speeds in Australia.  Anderson reversing the ball & attacking stumps was major difference I noted when he was in India.  A similar strategy in Australia would be very effective.

He gets suckered into channel bowling in Australia & except D/N test that doesn't give you many rewards.

Should play at least 3 Ashes game including D/N game.

Brisbane

Adelaide

Perth

These venues would be perfect.  With Archer gone Andu has to partner with Wood there.

Wood Anderson Stone Woakes (A/R)  that seems to me best attack they can put up.
